Sounding very much like a candidate for president, today Vice President Joe Biden spoke at an AFL-CIO Labor Day event in Pittsburgh, Pa. “I’m mad, I’m angry,” Biden thundered, attacking the U.S. economy as “devastating for workers.”
Biden, who is openly considering running against Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primary, thanked “my friend” Richard Trumka, president of the AFL-CIO. ”
“There wouldn’t be a single basic right, from a 40-hour week to sick leave, there wouldn’t a single basic right out there … but for labor,” Biden said. “You build the middle class. That’s not an exaggeration.”
The vice president also attacked growing inequality.
“Let me tell you something, man,” Biden said. “The tax code’s not fair. The wealthy aren’t paying their fair share.”
Yup, Elect Joe, he will fix it…..for real this time.
Oh yeah, ol’ Smokin’ Joe, sucking up to fat crook Trumka. We can count on Joey-boy, yes sir.
Biden’s speech was A++. He really connects! And embraces his values in an honest and inclusive manner.
A month or 2 ago, I was hoping Biden would run. Now, I hope he doesn’t run.
Watching Hillary stumble, stammer and trip over her own feet each day has become a quality source of entertainment.
I would like to see how she can continue to do this for 400 more days. Also while my head thinks she could probably beat Bernie Sanders if she were in a coma, she really is masterful at screwing up an uncontested campaign — so anything is possible there.
But Biden’s going to run, and she’ll be out either 2 weeks before or 2 weeks after that happens. If Biden runs, it is a “vote of no confidence” and Obama will kick her off the cliff — possibly by endorsing Biden.
The bottom line is that D/R voters are going to vote for known evil no matter what. The inexorable swirl towards the drain is financed entirely by the electorate.
The thing is: everything Biden said is true. AT LEAST he is not a shill for the status quo (aka Republicans) and the source for most of the misery of our declining middle class.
While I think all politicians are about as useless as one another, there are shades of differences that make real differences in our lives. ie==both Hilary and Joe not as ready to give the Already Too Rich ANOTHER FREAKING TAX BREAK funded by program cuts to you and me. All the Republicans, except Trump, all lined up to do so. THAT is why any Dumbo is BETTER THAN any Puke==> unless you happen to be Already Too Rich.
Who here is Already too Rich? STOP voting against your own self interests!! Of the two, Joe is of higher moral character. All the Dumbos are what with Hilary being too self delusional to think that her lying ways is the result of the voters confusion.
As always, I won’t be voting FOR Biden…. just against all the others…………unless……….he convinces Warren to take the VP and run his REREGULATION of Wallstreet policy. That would be sweet. The only possible thing that could happen this go around that would get my positive vote.

Jeb Bush, as an example, raised $100 million dollars — almost none of it from voters. This is an example of how a candidate that very few voters support can raise a lot of money.
Obama in 2008 raised tons of money from small donations vs. Hillary 2008 whose money came from the establishment.

Biden blames the economy, but not that CEOs who receive hundreds of times more than the lowest paid employee. Shouldn’t there be some reasonable limit, to how high corporate board members can spike their own salaries? While everyone else barely gets by, who’s actually doing the real work, in the company. The disparage between the highest and lowest paid, only gets worse each year. That’s not helping American business grow. That’s just sucking it dry.
Just like the time after the Prohibition. Some limitations on drinking up all the profits, has to be established. No more 24/7 of bellying up to the bar. And raid the till. Or the companies’ stockholders and employees, simply aren’t being properly provided for, in the future. Their jobs and retirement are at risk.
I agree. I’m all for limits on Corporate Greed. There would be a lot less corruption all around if there was no profit incentive to do so. Imagine CEO’s out to build a great company rather than boost one quarters profit for their parachute?
