Linux is both the world’s best and worst operating system. If you’re running a server it’s the best. Linux gives you control, sort of. On the desktop however it totally sucks, and over time it’s getting worse.

Linux also, like the Mac is more of a religion where Linux followers praise new features that actually make the user experience worse. The community behaves more like a cult and seems completely disconnected from the reality of making something productive.

Linux is free and is actually not even worth what you pay for it. That’s why people actually are willing to pay for something else. If Linux paid you to take it it wouldn’t be any more popular than it is now.

Well, at least it’s not going to be yet another Bush! Burned through $150 million and has nothing to show for it.

I usually love Michael Moore movies but this one is his best. I really liked the movie. Really drives the point home that there’s a lot of room for improvement here in America.

I don’t know if he did it on purpose but today when Obama attacked Trump several times today in his press conference, I would think that would make Republicans want to vote for Trump. You know – anything Obama doesn’t want is what Republicans want.

My questions is – was he being smart or stupid? Do you think he figured that out?

I could have thrown it away years ago but my old Droid X is still in service. I have it Velcrod to the base of one of my monitors as a desk clock. It’s basically running 2 apps. One is the clock app with seconds showing and the other is an NTP app to keep the clock precise. In my world 8:59:59 and 9:00:01 are very different times and this is very useful.

Additionally in my bedroom I have a Droid Maxx that has wireless charging and sits in a wireless charging cradle. On that phone I’m running a night clock app with alarm clock and can speak the time by double tapping the screen. In the morning I pick it up a read the news online so it’s my morning newspaper as well. And with Google Voice I can make phone calls if I need to.

So – don’t throw that old cell phone away. They can become excellent clocks.

Looking for a new company for my online stock and Bitcoin trading. ETrade sucks. Sometimes that send you notifications for margin calls, sometimes they don’t and just sell off your stock without any warning. I called them up to give them the chance to make it right and they refused to do so. So I’m moving my account.

I don’t reward stupid, so I’m wondering what people here think.

UPDATE: After several weeks eTrade restored my stocks without comment. I did threaten to sure them. And this article might have helped.
