We’re all going to Mars!!!!
One thing I notice about the news media is that it’s all about money and has nothing to do with news. The more eyeballs the more they can charge advertisers. And the closer the race is reported to be the more people will want to watch. Therefore – no matter who is really winning the news media is going to report the race as tied no matter what.
As to the debate, Trump defeated himself during the debate. If Trump had debated a chimpanzee he would have lost. Hillary was smart enough to shut up and let him do it to himself.
Kevin Johnson (D), the NBA star turned Sacramento mayor, was involved in an altercation with a protester at a charity dinner on Wednesday night – which reportedly left the other man bloodied and in need of stitches around his eye.
Sean Thompson, 32, threw a pie in Johnson’s face at the event at Sacramento high school – and witnesses say Johnson responded by “repeatedly” punching the man in the face. Police confirmed Johnson did hit Thompson.
“The mayor did strike the suspect after he was assaulted,” police spokesman Bryce Heinlein said. Johnson’s chief of staff, Crystal Strait, said the man came up, pulled the pie from a bag, grabbed Johnson and shoved in in his face. She said the mayor defended himself. Witnesses told the East Bay Express that after Thompson threw the pie, he said something to the mayor. Johnson, they said, tackled him and punched him in the face repeatedly, more than half a dozen times, landing five to 10 blows. One witness described it as a “bloody pulp”.
Har. Actually this sounds like something only the Donald could be accused of.
The explosion of racial violence in Charlotte, N.C. has led to a gun buying spree by locals worried about their safety.
At Hyatt Guns, one of the nation’s largest, staff arrived Thursday morning after the second night of riots and encountered a line of buyers.
“First off, our prayers are with law enforcement this morning. People are afraid. They see lunacy in the streets being perpetrated by criminals and they are gearing up to protect themselves,” Justin Anderson, director of marketing for Hyatt Guns told Secrets. “Sales last night were brisk. Most of the purchases were self defense shotguns and 12 gauge buckshot,” he said.
“We had people waiting at the door this morning who are looking at similar guns. People that were on the fence about buying a gun prior to last night are now making that purchase,” added Anderson.
The store is not far from the downtown violence, but has regular security and is so popular among local police that it recently set up an online store for police.
Actually temperatures were in the low 80’s with humidity around 40%.
ING Bank’s main data center in Bucharest, Romania, was severely damaged over the weekend during a fire extinguishing test. In what is a very rare but known phenomenon, it was the loud sound of inert gas being released that destroyed dozens of hard drives. The site is currently offline and the bank relies solely on its backup data center, located within a couple of miles’ proximity.
“The drill went as designed, but we had collateral damage”, ING’s spokeswoman said…
The purpose of the drill was to see how the data center’s fire suppression system worked. Data centers typically rely on inert gas to protect the equipment in the event of a fire, as the substance does not chemically damage electronics…The gas is stored in cylinders, and is released at high velocity out of nozzles uniformly spread across the data center.
According to people familiar with the system, the pressure at ING Bank’s data center was higher than expected, and produced a loud sound – think about the noise a steam engine releases – The bank monitored the sound and it was very loud, a source familiar with the system told us. “It was as high as their equipment could monitor, over 130dB”.
Sound means vibration, and this is what damaged the hard drives. The HDD cases started to vibrate, and the vibration was transmitted to the read/write heads, causing them to go off the data tracks.
In ING Bank’s case, it was “like putting a storage system next to a [running] jet engine,”…
The Bank said it required 10 hours to restart its operation due to the magnitude and the complexity of the damage…Over the next few weeks, every single piece of equipment will need to be assessed. ING Bank’s main data center is compromised “for the most part”…
A catastrophic failover to the backup data center. That’s a helluva noise.
What do you guys think should happen now?
Washington Post: Hillary Clinton’s health just became a real issue in the presidential campaign
NYT: Diagnosis pneumonia.
It amazes me that there must have been several people who thought this was a good idea. I would however expect something like this out of WalMart.(below)
Should we get the day off? Happy 9/11?
“Hold my beer bruh…and watch this!”
California State University Los Angeles recently rolled out segregated housing for black students.
The arrangement comes roughly nine months after the university’s Black Student Union issued a set of demands in response to what its members contend are frequent “racist attacks” on campus, such as “racially insensitive remarks” and “microaggressions” by professors and students. One demand was for a “CSLA housing space delegated for Black students.”
“[It] would provide a cheaper alternative housing solution for Black students. This space would also serve as a safe space for Black CSLA students to congregate, connect, and learn from each other,” the demand letter stated. The newly debuted Halisi Scholars Black Living-Learning Community “focuses on academic excellence and learning experiences that are inclusive and non-discriminatory,” Cal State LA spokesman Robert Lopez told The College Fix via email.
Cal State LA joins UConn, UC Davis and Berkeley in offering segregated housing dedicated to black students.
Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton greeted the press who are traveling on her new airplane on Monday morning and took a few questions.
Hillary Clinton Starts Speech With Massive Coughing Fit: “Every Time I Think About Trump I Get Allergic”
Clinton, under pressure for not holding a press conference for nearly 280 days, was peppered with questions like, “How was your Labor Day weekend?” Another question: “Are you ready?”
“Do you have a Labor Day message?” one reporter asked.“I do, you’ll hear it,” Clinton answered. “I definitely, I definitely do. If you want more happy Labor Days, you know who to vote for.”
“Thanks, I’ll come back later,” Clinton said as she exited the cabin that holds the press.
They keep telling us that she is in excellent health, how could anyone think otherwise?
A sad day today for Elon musk and all of us who are really into SpaceX and our quest to colonize the universe. The rocket was being fueled for a static firing test ahead of Saturday’s launch of the Amos 6 satellite when it exploded on the launch pad. Not one was hurt. But this sets back SpaceX and that is a very sad day today.
“Dr. Drew and his team have delivered more than five years of creative shows, and I want to thank them for their hard work and distinctive programming,” CNN EVP Ken Jautz said in a statement confirming Pinsky’s last telecast will be September 22.
…………..
Dr. Drew had survived the previous re-branding, little more than two years ago, when HLN announced it would become “the first TV network for the social media generation,” and “redefine TV news and information, driven by what’s trending, being shared and going viral across all screens.”
Pinsky made headlines last week when he announced on his radio show he is “gravely concerned” about Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s health and the health care she is receiving. It played nicely into Donald Trump’s position that Clinton is not healthy enough to serve as POTUS.
CNN has become unwatchable. At this point, they should just change their motto to “We’re CNN, you’re either with us, or you’re with the enemy”.
Signs were spotted in front of buildings with the names of Cheryl and Haim Saban, who hosted HILLary Clinton’s fundraiser yesterday and Steven Spielberg who also has contributed greatly to Clinton’s campaign.
Just in case.
