The grand-prize winner of the Obamacare “young invincibles” video contest is a rendition of “Price Tag” by Jessie J and performed by 26-year-old Erin McDonald.

McDonald’s lyrics call on young people to purchase insurance and to enjoy the security of being covered when unexpected health issues arise.

“Don’t need a lot of money, to stay young and healthy, we just want to make it more fair with affordable health care,” she sings. “Affordable Care Act, don’t worry about the price tag.”

No? How about these Fratboys?

  1. R_Lem says:

The Young Invincibles’ george soros style clenched fist symbol is even creepier than normal. The fingers of the open hand behind it look like artillery and the thumb is a hammer of a gun.
The color revolutions used variations of these clenched fist symbols, as did the arab spring movements/revolutions and of course Occupy, why not Obama care supporting NGOs.

  2. Spike says:

    The Dumb Convincibles?

    • dusanmal says:

Fortunately, by recent polling, not so dumb – 57% of “young invincibles” do not want to do anything with Obamacare. Not ACA, Obamacare. By Obama own televised and available statement from earlier this year: “… call it Obamacare from now, I will…”

      • Phydeau says:

You wingnuts keep bashing Obamacare… but don’t you see where it’s going? Obamacare was originally create by the right-wing Heritage Foundation. It’s a big ol’ wet kiss to the for-profit insurance companies, forcing people to buy their insurance and increase their profits.

The more you complain about it, the more people will realize that single-payer is the rational solution.

Not that you nuts know much about rationality.

        • Hmeyers says:

          Phydeau is a dog’s name.

My ears do not hear your stupidity.

          • bobbo, junior art and culture critic says:

Even when tinged with Humor, do you not see HMyers that your comment says nothing bout Phydeau and everything about YOURSELF, and all other conservative mind set type doodoos.

Yep—-anything off the talking points is not even heard.

Its called: “Drinking the Koolaid” and you have been swimming in it.

Sad HMyers, because you have a working brain. I wonder if no Koolaid and nothing but coffee would clear that up in a few months?

        • Got to get you out of my life says:

Hey Barky: “You wingnuts keep bashing Obamacare… but don’t you see where it’s going?”

Perhaps Obamacare it a deliberate LEFT-wing FAIL, designed to force us all into a Single-Payer Health Care System?

Government in your life (and bank account), 24/7 , cradle-to-grave.

  3. bobbo, junior art and culture critic says:

Let’s see: no beat at all, no percussion, no horns. Verdict: can’t dance to it. Lyrics?–no rhyme, no cadence. Its like she found something in writing and just made up a tune. Verdict: can’t sing along to it.

Will this cute gal sell ACA? No.

Is this when I’m supposed to buy a gun to protect myself from the gubment and their tyrannical programs?

    Silly Hoomans.

    • McCullough says:

NO ONE wants you to own a gun Bobbo, trust me on this.

      • bobbo, junior art and culture critic says:

Ha, ha. Well, like Oswald, I did score Marksman. I had a very accurate .38 pencil.

        ……I reciprocate the concerns.

    • Hmeyers says:

Bobbo, your healthcare flip-flops betray the lack of foundation in your opinions.

I told you all of this long ago and you mocked me. Now you say what I say.

      But with some bitterness.

I give you credit to arriving at my point of view though and admitting it.

      • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

HMyers…… I honestly don’t know what you are thinking about. I have been pretty consistent on every aspect of this issue that I can think of. If you are noticing any changes, I’d love to hear what they are.

I have changed on Obama himself. and indeed even flip-flop back and forth. He really should be better than he presents himself. Too willing to pretend his adversaries in Congress are worth the respect he still gives them.

Its not true, and failure is what happens when you don’t deal with the truth AS the truth.

Those in Congress VOTING AS A BLOCK on no other ideology than to oppose Obama are in fact traitors to their jobs as congress creeps. So are the creeps they by and large are accurately representing. TRAITORS I say.

        ….. but remind me. I’m listening……………………

        • MikeN says:

          > I have been pretty consistent on every aspect of this issue that I can think of.
          >I have changed on Obama himself. and indeed even flip-flop back and forth.

          Oh my.

  4. McCullough says:

Marksman is the lowest qualification, we’ve discussed this. BTW I qualified “Expert” in .45 and M16…yay for me.

    • bobbo, junior art and culture critic says:

Yes, that was my reference. I think “Marksman” means good enough not to shoot yourself or others while being tested. We stopped at that level of breathing and were given a ribbon to wear on our chest.

THATS a double: I know that “Marksman” and Ribbons on a Chest both mean very little.

  5. Phydeau says:

Wingnuts are not going to comment much here… they know they got nothin’.

    • ± says:

And you’re a proud R/D voter who created the mess we’re in. You’re so cluelesss like all your fellow sheeple.

    • Hmeyers says:

You sir, are king of wingnuts. Bobbo, me, Dallas, Pedro are opinionated.

But you are the undisputed moron champion of the world.

Now go have a beer and pat yourself on the back — cuz it ain’t easy to be the king of all fools!

      Congrats!

      • bobbo, the pragmatic existential evangelical anti-theist says:

Gee, I’ve found Phydeau uniformly to be just a kinder more gentle non profane non alliterative version of myself. Everyone here is opinionated. I do agree WAaaay too many here are morons……hmmmm…. is that your issue? HMyers, YOU TOO are uniformly kinder more gentle non profane non alliterative member of the conservative clash. Are you only objecting to a competitor to be King of anything you are only a plebeian of?

Actually explains a lot. Not even hearing conflicting facts and opinions. Motivated by a desire to join or maintain the illusion of being in the 1% if not the King of It. It = BS. KOBS. 3 Degrees of separation from reality.

Still sane. Still irrelevant. HMyers, you deserve a medal.

  6. RS says:

Not having insurance isn’t just crazy, it’s illegal.

Welcome to the progressive utopia, where everything that is not forbidden is mandated. The perfection of society and mankind through an all-knowing, all-caring government.

Citizen, Drop the chalupa, and the styrofoam cup, NOW or we will shoot.

  7. Adam says:

Only in America could a song written of the negative effects of capitalism and corporatism be rewritten to then sell this health insurance system that primarily benefits the healthcare industry and the government leaving the consumer/tax payer out in the cold. Jessie J should be choking on her own vomit once she hears about this.

  8. Enemy_of_the_State says:

Both of my kids wonder why they can’t go to healthcare.gov, pay the tax and be done with this BS.

    • Dallas says:

The can always be a burden to the state by using the local taxpayer funded hospital. Like father , like son.

  9. Suck It! says:

What part of AFFORDABLE don’t you STUPID motherf**kers understand?!!!

    NONE of it is AFFORDABLE!!!

…That is, unless you’re POOR and can suck those tax dollars from your government mama’s tits even harder than you already do.

If I were still young (not that I’m all that old being over 35), I’d be insulted that Obama clearly considers you youngsters to all be CASH COWS! This song might song might as well be a nursery rhyme and frankly, I’m surprised it isn’t!

So isn’t it time to impeach Obama yet? He’ll still stay in office just like Clinton did (unless they decide to actually prosecute the bastard). Or how about that piece of shit that led him by the nose on this whole mess, Nanacy Pelosi?!!! (Dvorak, that she-devil is YOUR elected representative! How about a little activism to help get that piece of crap not just out of Washington but out of politics? …But I digress.)

Here’s the deal. If you continue to play partisan politics everywhere then things will only get WORSE! Take a look at complete unthinking partisan idiots like Bobo and Dallas who believe what their ass leaders tell them — just like church-going lemmings! It’s a safe bet that doing the OPPOSITE of what these bone heads say is a good thing. Although you should know that on very rare occasions even these poopoo posters are correct, but it is rare. After all, even a broken clock is right twice a day. Therefore, THINK!!! That’s the only weapon any of us really has.

(Just watch what these idiots start babbling on about now! This should be good…)

    • Hmeyers says:

      I’m a hardened sarcastic anti-politics cynic.

      I afford healthcare just fine.

By not buying insurance and staying healthy with exercise.

      And not having 2 asses.

$95 penalty? Hah. I’ll pay that.

What I won’t pay for is your Ronco Scootercart or to have your diabetes feet amputated.

      • deowll says:

I have a 24 yr old nephew that doesn’t work by choice and takes free medical care. That’s affordable for him.

A lot of people are going to get free care but the hook is they may not be able to find anyone who will take their free insurance because of the very low reimbursement. Of course only a fraction of the health care providers are even going to be in the system so ….

I don’t see how this fiasco can possibly avoid putting thousands of to millions of people through horrendous experiences.

  10. Mr Diesel says:

I’d do her bent over that desk.

    Was that the correct answer?

  11. Dallas says:

Great news. The website is fixed.

Teapublicans can now also shop without having to sign up. This avoids concerns that someone accuses you of shopping for better healthcare than the shit you now have.

    • Mr Diesel says:

      Fixed? Hah, that’s rich.

Buggier than a flea ridden goat’s ass. Riddled with security holes big enough to drive a Kenworth through.

Sure, go ahead and enter all your information into the site.

      • Dallas says:

I did . It asked me if I smoke. I wanted to volunteer more information but there was no means for it.

        Ooooh.

    • Gassy Noell says:

Dallas, I guess a 25% failure rate is considered “fixed” in your sad little world. If you were in my employ, you wouldn’t be for long.

“After refusing for weeks to detail the extent of back-end problems with healthcare.gov, the Obama administration on Friday said a technical bug affected approximately 25 percent of enrollments on the federal exchanges in October and November.

Those technical bugs, separate from the troubles consumers had experienced accessing information on the website during the first two months, are posing a significant new problem for those who signed up and are expecting insurance coverage come Jan. 1. One in four of those applications either did not get transferred to insurers, were transferred in duplicate form, or had major errors in information shared.”

      http://washingtonexaminer.com/1-in-4-obamacare-enrollments-affected-by-technical-bug-first-month/article/2540329

      • Dallas says:

Hey, the sign up is fixed but more importantly, sheeple can actually shop for a plan without having to sign up. That’s huge.

If you see a plan you like, you can also do the unthinkable and pick up the phone. Get that fistula thing taken care of if it’s starting to show through.

BTW, I wouldn’t work for anyone that goes by ‘Gassy’ even if I did seek employment.

  12. spaffan says:

She’s an NPR version of an Obamacare commercial. Like the NPR crowd needs convincing!

Sadly, to reach the people they want to reach, they should have some hip hop artist or a Lady GooGoo look alike doing their commercials. People like the one in the video already have insurance!

  13. Grand Poobah says:

The article on the HHS government website announcing the video contest winner was written by the:

“Deputy Director of Online Engagement for the Office of Digital Strategy”

Is that cool title or what !?

Anybody hear of any other “WTF” titles? Please post. They’re fun to read while trying to guess what these public employees do everyday.

  14. MikeN says:

So why sign up, when I can sign up after I get sick, and pay the same amount?

  15. MikeN says:

Obama insider reveals, if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor, if you pay more.
