6abc.com: 66 Killed in India Train Bombing — This situation is quite flaky and this will not help.

Two bombs exploded on a train headed from India to Pakistan, sparking a fire that swept through two coaches and killed 66 people in an attack that officials said Monday was aimed at undermining the peace process between the rivals.

Witnesses described a scene of horror as panic-stricken passengers were trapped in one of the burning cars even after the train stopped, just before midnight Sunday in a rural area in northern India. The screams of the victims filled the night, then were drowned out by the roar of the flames.

UPDATE: Apparently people couldn’t get out of the flaming cars because they were locked in for “security reasons.” I’m sure the prison bars on the windows were of no help.

If this started happening in our country, it might be time to start worrying.

I still think these 2 countries are your best best for the next nuclear exchange.

1 & 3 – Based on what analysis? The Presidents of both countries have decried this act of terrorism. The two countries continue to seek out better relations, and President Musharraf is even offering compromises on Kashmir.

I love those that WISH to create terror and pain and confusion.
the only questions they make, is WHY??

    For some ODD reason,
I still cant get 1 idea out of my head.
That there is a cause in this world that WANTS to make the end, come quicker.
They want to control something that Will happen Anyway, the enevitable.
The only reasoning is that they have prepared something to get Themsleves PAST what they are creating to happen.

I cant believe so many are so:
Pissed for the past and what/who killed their GREAT uncle?
    Doing things for political reasons?
Nations that have such disheartened citizians??
    Religious reasons??

why cant some of these folks THINK for themselves, and the First thought is…”If this is a GOOD thing, Why hasnt the Mullah dont it?”

Off topic, but when an Internet interruption left my message on-screen looking unposted and I pressed the “Say it” button again, the blog caught the double entry. Yet I regularly see posts duplicated in this blog, such as ECA’s comment above. Is this related to the “slow down, cowboy” bug?\

About your comment, ECA, that a faction in this world must want the end to come quicker – I suspect there are more like that than you think, including nutjobs in both Muslim and Christian sects.

But this kind of outrage is more likely the work of someone who expects to reap personal benefits by raining chaos on those around him. It’s the old terrorist belief that change comes from chaos, not from peace, prosperity and good social order.

Here’s a follow up story on this developing issue ( http://tinyurl.com/yvrdfh ). It seems that there will be some good that comes from this horrendous act. Looks like terrorism fails again.
