John, you ol’ softy, you…
I hooked a security cam up above my hermit crab cage!!! They actually do stuff sometimes!
That cat plays better than I do.
AWWWE. thats so cute i can’t stand it.
I’d be very interested to know if the cat is listening to the sounds and coinciding that with the key movement, or if shes just going after the tactile sensation of the keys. For hours though?
I want to kill myself now, thanks a pant load…
Very cool – but I think if she were one of mine, after the 20 mins or so we would need to talk – or something. This would make me crazy after a time.
Bahh.
Cat still needs more lessons.
#4. The question is really weather the cat is able to percieve the sounds of the piano the same way as we do? Do cats even understand the melodicity and rythm in the same way people do? Have you ever heard cats sing? And, most important of all, didn’t the owner just smear some Whiskas over the keys to get fast publicity?
That’s the type of pussy Kevin Federline likes.
Hasn’t anyone here had a kitten and a piano at the same time? Kittens love running up and down a piano keyboard. Especially in the middle of the night. There was even a Gershwin-era song, “Kitten on the Keys.” You can hear a clip on Amazon Music at http://tinyurl.com/32f5zt
The cat in this post is closer to John Cage than to jazz-age piano men.
Agh! cuteness… overload… *gasp*… heart… softening… *grunt*… must… stop it… must… think… uncute thoughts… *gasp*…
taxes…
astronauts soiling themselves…
Rosie O’Donnel…
2008 presidential election!
*whew* That was close. All better now.
Any word on when the album’s coming out?
J/P=?
I think Steven Hill plays that cat on Music From The Hearts Of Space.
get down get funky
Oh God, John’s started blogging about life and kittens. Somebody call the doctor! 🙂
It’s o.k. if I blog about animals; I’ve already been certified.
Somebody should slam the lid of the keyboard shut while this is going on. Sorry, but this is plain annoying. And the other person playing piano at the same time in the background after a few minutes needs to practice more. And get a life.
wow, some people just cant let a good parade go by without pissing on it.
11. Funny, man.
I love the way she ‘plays by EAR’ occasionally. By NOSE too, sometimes.
LOVE HER!
SHE IS GREAT!
WHAT A CUTIE!
LOL, plays by ear and by nose, lol! (Thanx katspajamas!)
P.S. If they didn’t want her playing, they could just close the lid, lol
lolololol!
What is wrong with you people!? A cat that can’t play piano is not cute it’s annoying and the owner should get mental help!! Geez!!
Looks like Nora has mastered the intervals. Looks like she’s ready to move on to Hanon. She’s doing what Beethoven did…laying her head close to hear better.
My cats love to sit on the bench when I play. Whether they hear the tones as we hear them is unknown. I have one cat, in particular, who closes his eyes and purrs while I play.
I just heard about this on the podcast you do with Leo. I am a cat lover and shall share it at my site as well… Thanks for sharing this I think it is a riot.
