  1. Wally says:

Wow, I wonder how many bids?

  2. Mike Novick says:

Those license keys don’t work across all CDs, right?

It’s the work of a broke teenager. It like teen spirit.

  5. Tzvi says:

Nope, person is not an idiot. For starters they sell computer parts, so it is not just a key. Second, they are selling one key but have a picture of two. Third, they say it is from a Toshiba, but at the bottom the text shows that those come from Dells.

Conclusion: The picture is an example, not the actual key for sale.

  6. Tzvi says:

They might not be idiots, but I am.

Scratch #3 above. That word is Tell, not Dell. Opps.

  7. MSwanberg says:

#5 and #6: Look just under the “Windows XP Home Edition” part… these are from an eMachines PC and, I guess, an HP (it says HPQ… Hewlett-Packard-iPaq?).

  8. Mr. Fusion says:

As of 9:15 CT, there were 13 bids and it was up to $30. Plus there is an $8 shipping fee by parcel post.

  9. Mac Guy says:

And as sure as the Pope sh*ts in the woods and a bear is Catholic, eBay took the auction down. Surprise surprise!

If it were Apple, they’d ask everyone who posted the picture to take it down if it were OS X Server’s license key.

  10. Spooof says:

So be honest how many people took a screen shot or wrote down the keys? Well who uses home edition anyway?

Regardless if those are the keys they are selling or not it would ahve been so easy to cover up part of the keys in the image.

  11. Steve says:

    Hmm…

    Been removed from eBay.

  12. tallwookie says:
