I’m torn on zoo’s but he looked to have a nice area to live and I think it does help to raise awareness for animals in general and help push people to donate money or voices to saving them.
Lions seem to be very easy animals to raise in zoos. He did seem to leave his claws retracted but then again I don’t think it would be advisable to be that close without a substantial barrier between it and the person.
One of the lesser known facts of paleontology is that a lot ancient human remains show evidence of having been dined on by a big cat to point I’d call it a normal cause of death.

Fear is an illusion. And with all illusions only robs the mind of common sense. It is an uncontrollable emotion and leads to either panic, which is deadly or, when embraced, to hate.
To be prudent and have common sense to keep your distance or protect yourself from danger IS a survival skill. Fear only leads to tragedy, like running from one danger headlong into another.
