Contributing editor Uncle Dave has often expressed his preference for Pepsi. This looks like something he might have done as a kid, particularly given the originality he brings to problem-solving.

Can’t be me. I only drink Diet Pepsi. 😉 But I do admire his style!
Couldn’t happen, I don’t think people are allowed to put both pepsi and coke in one vending machine.
Spin version:
And the myth that coke makes a fine faucet cleaner (uncloggs the tubes, I tell’ya) couldn’t harm either…
Coke just sells more…for whatever reason…
Coke in a glass bottle > All
The only difference between Coke and Pepsi is that the former contains slightly more orange oils, while the later contains slightly more lemon oils.
I certainly hope you’re getting a kickback from Pepsi for showing their commercial. I don’t see any other reason to post that.
Coke taste better, has a nice bite to it, and has fewer calories than Pepsi. Pepsi has barely any flavor; Pepsi needs every help they can get with its bland flavor. This is why Pepsi is so quick to copy everything Coke does, like Vanilla Pepsi, Pepsi with Lime or Lemon, cherry, etc. But soda jerks have been adding those flavors in to Coke for decades before Pepsi was even on the market.
Peronally, I dont drink either (not straight-up anyway), but coke mixes well with rum, pepsi does not.
#7 – decades? 17 years actually (based on the brand, not the drink itself – about 4 years separate the drinks)
Coke – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coca-cola
Pepsi – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pepsi
#1. I am with you Unca Dave, diet pepsi is the staff of life.
I will give props to the old Coke, made from sugar, not corn syrup, which (vague recollection of something I once read in ‘The Straight Dope’ tells me that) you can still get in Hawaii.
addenda – evidently Coke in Mexico is still made from sugar, so if you are near the border and/or your local bodega carries the stuff, you can still get genuine Coca-Cola. Also, US Coke bottlers will make cane sugar Coke for Passover, when many observant Jews forgo corn products.
cultural diversity saves a traditional American favorite from oblivion!
#10 – Coke bottled in Mexico is sold all over the United States, and can even be orded over the Internet. It’s much better than the US product.
And the vast majority of drink dispensers on the fast-food joints, like at McDonalds or B.King are made on the spot, as it pours on your glass. They mix it in the pipes just before cooling, and add the gas also. It comes concentrated, like syrup.
Just wondering, where in the world one could drink the original stuff, made out of REAL Coca leaves extract and Cola nuts…instead of this caramelized water…
When New coke came out they did a taste test against it, Pepsi, Old Coke and RC.
RC won.
But I prefer Jolt.
