    Space–not always, or even often, the best view of things. Northern Lights best seen on the ground, or from 40K feet.

    #6 Unc: Nitrogen and oxygen are both responsible for the auroras. Oxygen gives off predominately green photons while nitrogen photons are mostly blue. Both can give off reddish hues, too, depending on their ionic state and altitude. I don’t know all the physics but I looked it up after spending some time in the Orkney Islands and being amazed by the light show.

    Thats a sobering thought. Rereading. I recall the saying that is mostly true, but not always true, that “People don’t lie when they’re drunk.”

    Ha, ha. Excessive often in many different ways, and maybe not accurate in what they say==but not lying.
