I love those Kodak cameras with the wide angle. I bought my wife one this year, and I grab that more often than my SLR. It almost has to be an event to take a big camera out, but these tiny things you can just drop in your pocket. Love the tie JCD.
Wow this is cool!!!
Thanks John!
Since when did MarketWatch start doing online video?
please do this more often than once a year..
Check out the Archos 604 Wi-Fi, that’s my favourite gadget for now. Check my blog about it on my link.
He said “dvorak.org/blog”! I just had to take a drink! Woo hoo! Love the pithy comments. John is always lots of fun!
Got the DS Light and Brain Age as early Xmas presents. Good recommendation (as millions of people already know). One correction though, the ideal age in Brain Age is 20, not 26.
What was the name of that USB watch? Do you have a URL? Happy Holidays!
#8, are you for real?
how did you find the place to even post this without finding the answer?
John Great Job!
The Direct Link plays better.
was that an 80s-style guitar-keyboard tie?
thanks for posting this
I really want to get one for those mini-HDDs, but I didn’t think they were worth it.
If John says it’s worth it, however, than it must be.
Player doesn’t work in Opera
#9. Funny as all hell.
Good job John. Is in your contract to have it pre-recorded instead of having some dork interview you? Smart.
Happy Holiday’s Mr Dvorak. I’m a big fan – love your blog, listen to your MP3 with that other guy (forgot his name but younger than you). Nice video above too. You are convincing and grandfatherly-like.
The only thing you screwed up on was falling for that AMD propaganda in 2003 where you pushed hard on “needing” 64bits. Other than that, you’re gold.
Oh, and I really like your crazy articles here although you do a great public service by exposing the illegal doings of the GOP and the Bush cartel. Great job.
notes:
Marketwatch has been doing online videos since its inception and long before I got there. They use a Globecaster for online stuff and the broadcast TV stuff. I was in front of a green screen in that video.
I collect ties (although it is now faddish not to wear one). That’s a Gene Meyers tie from around 1993.
The miniature HDD has some oddball coolness factor that makes it worth it. Technically it’s probably not worht it until they get bigger.
Thanks on the correction regarding ideal brain age..not sure what I was thinking. DUH. I need to play the game more I guess.
I’ll be talking with Brightcove and WordPress about the difficulty with Opera. Has anyone else seen this problem?
16. “You are convincing and grandfatherly-like. ” That was funny.
18.”It didn’t work on my XP laptop, but I tried now on my winme computer and it worked.” That was even funnier. (Those who have any knowledge of WIN ME, will understand).
Seeing John in that suit and tie is making me tingle. I would like to buy him for myself for Christmas and I’m not joking one bit. I bet his wife can’t wait to jump his bones each day.
winXP pro sp2 fresh install
