Well, now we know what all the loons are going to be watching tonight at 8:00.
You guys need to practice what you preach and try to put out a video version of NoAgenda and take on the “talking heads” stalking horses.
I’m sure you could come up with a couple of green screens and merge some scenery and “live action” backgrounds while we hear and watch you do the show twice a week.
This way you would be able to show RT (Russia Today) exactly what they need to do and know to get their ratings up. 🙂

Adding in salaries, overhead, production costs, etc. it’s going to cost a good $75 million to put on Olbermann’s show for a year.
That comes out to over $300 PER VIEWER! Liberals are real good at spending other peoples money, but tight ass about spending their own.

I agree with what moss said. I have a 46″ HDTV, and SD looks terribly “pixelated” on it. I have watched Current from time to time though.
Is Olbermann suggesting he was censored and subject to corporate bias? When he was on MSNBC?

Keith was on Colbert last night. Said he’s been busy putting his show together as well as 3-4 shows that will follow his. Looks like he will be a big wheel on current TV.
Either he or Madow mentioned that Liberal Talk Radio had more listeners than conservative radio but they could not get the ad revenue they needed. Seems Corporate American does not want to support the left/Demo/liberal side of the day’s issues.
I hope he picks up where he left off although his old show was more “fun” than informative. For info–its hard to beat Madow, Spitzer, and Ratigan. News you don’t get anywhere else and its fact linked–not just hot air, opinion, and spin as at Faux.
Now, if Comcast doesn’t shut down for another 8 hours, I’m off to find Jon Stewarts appearance on Fox News Sunday. Quite a dust up I understand.

#13 – Corporate America cares more about money that left/right politics. If Liberal Talk Radio had more listeners (who would buy the crap that Corporate America is selling) then Corporate America would buy advertising time.
Go re-read Manufacturing Consent — there is no vast left/right wing conspiracy — they’re all just chasing the money.
#17–Chuck==what you say makes common accepted good sense. I’m only repeating what Keith said. Could it be that you are right about our money loving advertising using corporate overlords as a general rule but that a kink developed in the area of talk radio? Of course, its “possible” and so the only issue would be finding the Nielson Ratings or whatever applies for whatever it might be worth as Air America is off the air.
Of interest would be just who does support right wing radio? Who advertises on Rush Limbaugh? How many/who donates money to Rush without even advertising? Does that make a difference?

#19–Cranky==do I really use “sheeple” that much? On occasion, but thats more Pedro’s thing, maybe Dallas but I don’t track those sorts of things. “Ideas” grab my attention. Maybe a few sheeple worthy issues came up?
To your point–I don’t listen to talk radio, not interested in it either==too hit and miss. I would “trust” Hannity if he said the same sort of thing only because they are in the business, have access to the numbers, and I would hope have “some” care about their credibility given that such facts can be checked?
Now, we all know Hannity picks his numbers carefully. I wouldn’t be surprised if Keith might as well although as a TV guy, why should he care about radio?
Its a findable fact. I’d look it up but google is hi jacked and Comcast is only allowing two connections at a time. Give it a try?
Edit–Comcast not connecting so I re-read. Ha, ha. I don’t “trust” Hannity. I would trust most other conservative commentators, but not him. He’s in my irredeemable slime bucket forever.
And say Pedro, if you check in, thanks for the suggestion on using clam AV to remove my Google Redirect Virus. The windows version found no virii after Malware and SuperAntiSpy were used. I plan to use the Ubuntu approach as well when Comcast is fully up.

I would take it as a sign of honor that liberal radio would fail. Talk (down to) radio is for sheeple after all.
A lot of Tv news veterans are either retiring, or being kicked off their networks, just prior to the next Presidential Election. Now what does that tell you about how the whole damn thing is run, in the US? Did Katie Couric leave CBS because she wanted to? Or because she “embarrassed” Sarah Palin back in 2008. And they didn’t want her around to remind voters of Palin’s lack of knowledge of practically everything. Even Andy Ronnie rarely gets a spot on 60 Minutes anymore. And he’s probably be told it can’t be about politics, anymore.
The so-called “liberal media” is a myth. It’s practically non-existent, compared to its super well financed and politically connected “conservative media”. The myth is maintained, just so the public gets the erroneous idea that the media and press are anything like “fair and balanced”. When conglomerates like Clear Channel and Fox, own 99% of the broadcast stations. And their corporate heads are all staunch diehard Republicans. It lot very likely you’ll be hearing anything against the GOP approved view. And what does seem like a little bit of Liberal view leakage, now and then. Is likely also carefully orchestrated.
It reminds me back during the Vietnam War. All the Tv networks and movie studios were so supportive of it. Only when the public opinion was majorly against it. Did some anti-war views and films begin to trickle out. I can still count on one hand the number of so-called “anti-war” films that ever got made. Nothing compared to the hundreds that glorified war, via WW2 sagas and epics.
BTW, everyone should see Paths of Glory at least once in their life. One of Kirk Douglas’ finest films.
I just watched Keith’s first show. Same as he used to be with this show being a bit more “preachy” than what I recall. Yes, its opinion critique of the rich, powerful, and corporate types. Very much in the MSNBC mold–as if he was part of their overlapping nightly news/talk shows even now.
I wish the “right” had people as INFORMATIVE as those on msnbc/current right now. Well, ok Stossel is pretty good. Who else in the right offeres any facts/analysis as opposed to all attitude, shock, and spin?
Current TV is part owned by COmcast and Dish. There is a dispute right now between Bloomberg and Comcast that Bloomberg wants to be near CNBC in the listings, while the government is insisting on an independent news channel in Comcast’s lineup. Comcast wants to sell Current in that spot, but they are neither independent nor a news channel. Perhaps Keith will help them change that second fact.
