    Yes–and turkey DO fly==right up on my roof every night. Its factory raised turkeys that can’t fly as their wings are clipped.

    With no means of propulsion it must have been dropped from a bomber. The beetle looked like a lift body that could sail through the air, but there was no means of controlling it.
    Looks like a load of fecal matter to me.

    Brilliant! I love how they reshaped the flying objects in the video. Not sure what the editing technical term. As a WWII buff I saw all of this footage previously, and I can assure you there are no flying Beetles… The interview with the Vet was about Messerschmitt 163 flying rocket. One of the footage was of a prop fighter jet hitting a bomber, and the last footage was of dam buster bomb bouncing on test in England.

    Actually the VW Thing was used by the military. Might not be as good as a jeep but they were cool.

    I get where they were trying to go with this, but the Germans, being very precise in their nomenclature would not have called something like this a “Volkswaffe” which means something like the Peoples’ Arms (or Peoples’ Weapon).

    It probably would have been called the “Flugwagen”, literally “flying car”.
