    This is the best one I have seen yet, John. The colors are highly accentuated, but not unreal looking. Probably because Manhattan is dreary to begin with.

    Surreal.

    I suppose it could be real but it appears more like an architect’s concept for a proposal.

    It;s a gigantic commercial property in the midst of the tenements. Does not make sense. I lived in lower Manhattan for a year but left 8 years ago and can not figure out exactly where this is.

    Do you have an address?

    You need geo-location and direction.

    I can’t quite place this. (I’m ashamed to say that I no longer look up when I walk around in lower Manhattan. I have no idea where the black building is.)

    The colors are quite saturated but this could be Tribeca, looking up to mid-town.

    I can sorta see the giant mormon church in the background. so it probably is lower west side. let me know if you ever come back! id love to shake your hand!

    I’m pretty sure this is 180 Orchard Hotel/Condo, it’s a new building.

    It’s probably just me but the novelty of over saturated HDR type images wears off after maybe 3.

    Gorgeous!

    Definitely looks like it’s taken from LES looking northwest, I can just see one of the Penn Plaza buildings (on W. 34th) peeking out behind the black building.

    These pics self-saturate when the blacks are boosted from the RAW control panel. I’m really not boosting the saturation by hand. I could turn it down, but would like to stay on this tactic for a few more shots from the RAW archives.

    I do like the picture.

    I just realized the greater contrast could have a very practical use in that it allows the human brain to better pick out the details.
