Helpful tips for the holidays, courtesy of Dvorak Uncensored!

  1. Ah_Yea says:

It has already become obvious from Tip #1 that only pro-gunners will survive.

  2. bobbo, the evangelical progressive antitheist says:

Not to make too big a point about it, but there is a strong undercurrent of “something/you name it” in pop culture with people going around shooting the diseasesed infected zombies. There is an element of fun, not just TCOB. Makes me wonder what we all are being set up for.

  3. Gary, the dangerous infidel says:

This holiday tip comes just in time, Uncle Dave. I was trying to remember the correct way to deal with a potential zombie apocalypse, and I’m embarrassed to admit that I would probably have resorted to the old “duck and cover” maneuver in my confusion. That could have been a fatal mistake. Thanks, and best wishes to everyone for a zombie-free Christmas!

  4. sargasso_c says:

Fully gassed, primed and sharpened Homelite in the garage. Zombies, don’t knock twice.

  5. Somebody_Else says:

I’m tired of the zombie apocalypse meme. I get it, we’re a culture of zombies that have been sapped of individuality.

Once you figure that out the zombie stuff just gets repetitive.

  6. bobbo, the evangelical progressive antitheist says:

Is it a meme or a trope?

  7. Animby says:

    What hath George Romero wrought?

    Murder made fun.
I just finished reading a book entitled: “Brains: A Zombie Memoir.” Not great literature but it’s short and fun. A look at the zombie apocalypse from the viewpoint of a sentient zombie.

    # 2 bobbo, “Makes me wonder what we all are being set up for.” Have you been listening to Adam Curry again or do you need a sarcasm switch?

  8. bobbo, the evangelical progressive antitheist says:

Animby==you are quite right. Just because something has a definite impact on mans’ humanity doesn’t mean there is any actual intentionality behind it. Something too many conspiracy theorists don’t get. Serendipity. Meaning in random chaos.

The viewpoint of a sentient zombie? Short I understand, but how could 73 pages of “brains, brains, brains” be fun? You are weird Animby.

  9. TooManyPuppies says:

Even in B&W, Michele Boyd is still crazy hot.

  10. COOP says:

    Zombies are Nihilists

    Right wingnuts

    Lock an load Santa

    Merry effin x mas

  11. Counterweight says:

“What To Do Should The Zombie Apocalypse Happen This Christmas Season”?

    Please see post: “Christmas Meat”

    Happy Hunting.

  12. Animby says:

Okay. I screwed up and posted under Counterweight. I admit he was my alter ego. CW gave me the option of saying things that I might not actually agree with or did not wish to have to support. So, I guess this marks the last appearance by Counterweight.

In the words of K Vonnegut – “And so it goes.”

  13. The Wrong Guy says:

I’m thinking we toss them Alfred. He’ll spout so much bullshit as he’s being eaten, he’ll make them sick and die. Again. For real.

  14. bobbo, the evangelical progressive antitheist says:

Animby/Counterweight/No Phone==all subtle layers of the same one? I’m sure that is very expressive of a deep idea, but I don’t have a clue as to what that idea might be, I’ve always stayed close to shore.

I’d have to go back and review, but as Counterweight I don’t remember anything remarkable. Now, why would you care about posting unremarkable stuff? Heh, heh. Must be the novelist in you, all those stifled characters wanting to tell their own stories, remarkable or not?

My own diversion into bobbo of many colors was initially supposed to denote different characters in my own story, but without an outline, they immediately became too muddy, just me in different moods defaulting into merely signposts for where I was going. Then, too lazy to think about it.

This post has nothing to do with being an evangelical progressive antitheist. Lazy.

And so it goes. Ending not in fire, but in ice.

  15. bobbo, of what real use is anyone who is too different says:

Actually, I meant to note this squib from Amazon:

“Convinced he’ll bring about a peaceful coexistence between zombies and humans if he can demonstrate his unique condition to Howard Stein….” /// But then my router went down and I forgot until just now. Yea, he seems totally human as in completely self centered and egotistical, just like a human being. He is unique in being able to think there can/should be coexistence between humans and zombies—BUT he admits he is unique. That means all/most/too many of the other zombies are just mindless brain eaters. Why should humans put up with that? He might be sentient, but he’s all too human and not very bright. “I want the universe to operate in favor of my own bias.”

Darwin: avoid what you don’t know. Its the winning strategy.

  16. Animby says:

    # 16 bobbo – “He might be sentient, but he’s all too human and not very bright.”

Ah, yes. But isn’t that true of all of us, zombie and human alike?

[What your blurb does not mention is that by coexistence, he meant that the zombies would only eat the brains of the condemned, insane or a few categories of ‘undesirables’.]

  17. jhatsis says:

I’ll take this over the “Respect Authority” zombies any day.

  18. bp909 says:

Enjoyed it. Cheers. Thanks Uncle Dave.

  19. Zombie Jesus says:

    Merry Zombie Christmas!
