The cover art suck…..
yeah, shoulda used jesses 😛 i should stop shmoking weed while i do it XP
The show notes are pretty bad as well.
Why the big secret on what is discussed?
They need some better marketing to promote the contents of the show.
#3 Dude, you clicked the triangles right?
The backscatter x-ray technology probably doesn’t work very well anyway. Just think of the obscene profits that the company that made a few dozen of the things will make when the machines are banned by popular demand and the Gov’t pays for all the thousands of ordered but undelivered and unmade machines. The naked body scans and groping will make fine Turkey Day conversation. I hope the little people listening at the kiddie table aren’t scarred for life.
Speaking of little people, those Irish seem to have been swayed in the shameful second vote on the Lisbon Treaty by the argument that their economy was slowing down and they wouldn’t get any monetary help from the E.U. unless they were compliant and voted YES.
Mostly, the airport security thing is a blanket cover up for the economy, QE2, 2 wars going on, 9/11, deficits, unemployment and any other real news.
#4 Yeah Dude, I did.
Duh!
I couldn’t find Adam’s picture of a strange orange sky, but I’ve seen such things in person and on the webtubes:

#4 The triangles are blocked.
Looks like they are a script of some sort.
Curry was wrong about the cash for clunkers being only for U.S. made vehicles. A major criticism at the time was that people were trading in American SUVs and buying foreign fuel efficient cars.
Every week both guys make some serious mistakes about some pretty basic facts. When they wonder why people don’t give more to support the show, could this sloppiness be part of it? I miss the old days before it became so self important; I think I’m finally about done with it.
Would it be possible for you to turn up the volume on your podcasts any louder?
I’m asking because I don’t think it would be possible, but I’m wondering if there’s an “11” on your volume dials over there.
Seriously. When you see those little bars pegging out all the way on the top all through the recording, it’s too loud!
#9 You have a point; sloppiness is a good description. It feels as if it is taken without much preparation anymore. Maybe 500,000 listeners is good enough and complacency has set in? It is not my first desire in the morning to listen to the show as it used to be. A bit too much repetition of jingles, predictable content… Besides, the coins and the ring is becoming a big issue. And they can’t run away from that responsibility. I still like the show but my passion for it is slipping.
Hey Dvorak,
apologies for the minor hijack,
but this bloomberg article:
-is ripe for NA pickens. Chock full of some outstanding observations and one liners that will make your head spin.
-you and adam will drool over the contents.
as for motivations.. how about this tasty tidbit that would make any trader drool in anticipation:
(it’s at $141 billion at the moment) and this is just for the EU market(!)

enjoy!

I realize that the guys don’t think highly of NPR, but if you’re going to hammer them for their reporting, pick a news show, not “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me.”
I’ve noticed after National Opt Out Day how most all the news I’ve watched has been quick to jump on the message that it failed. CNN has almost been on the verge of just telling the audience to shutup slave and submit.
