No doubt photoshop job – the O is too wide, made to cover the A.

  5. Hyph3n says:

I doubt it. The dude is probably a Texas fan at the Texas/OU game. OU’s colors are red… Texas is a burnt orange. And the game is played in Texas at the state fair, so he would be somewhat safer than in Oklahomo… uh, Oklahoma.

I’ve spent a lot of time in Oklahoma and I’ve never lived in a more conservative place outside of South Asia or Arabia.

If you swap out Islam for Christianity, the world views are pretty similar.

  15. ggore says:

This guy is a Texas fan, his shirt is the same color as the other Texas fan in the picture (burnt orange), so the wording is meant as an insult. Although after yesterday’s debacle in Austin, if I were a Texas fan I would probably rethink my wardrobe for next weekend. Otherwise I have seen quite a few Oklahomo shirts over the years, usually worn at gay pride parades, etc. No one’s ever gotten killed over them that I know of.

Despite its conservative nature and reputation, the vast majority of Oklahoma citizens could not care less if one is gay or not, there are just a few loony Republican lawmakers who are using gays as a means to get themselves on the news and keep themselves in office using fear instead of rational thought, and that always works, as we are seeing elsewhere in the country right now.
