I agree 100%. I took some cool pics of the coastline south of JFK as we approached NY.
I have a Canon SD780IS. Fast startup for quick pics. Does pretty good HD video.

Yeah John, that’s a good pic.
Did someone steal a screenshot from my last game of SimCity? Oh wait, it can’t be, there isn’t a massive traffic jam on the bridge and the factory isn’t in flames.
Looks like Queens… Astoria I believe.
hmm, a factory, a freeway and 2 bridges.
Clearly you must be a terrorist planning your targets.

It’s ok to say New Jersey as opposed to ‘outside of Manhattan’.

Around Exit 12 for you jokesters.
Cameras will be banned? Says who? Does that have something to do with Adam? What precious information can we acquire with a camera on an airplane that Google Earth won’t give in much more thorough and better detail?
No one will ban cameras, and if they do, someone will just reinvent them.
Cameras wont necessarily be banned but taking pictures or distributing them will be. In fact it already is in Airstrip One.
I got that camera (the kodak 1033) a couple of years ago based on your positive comment — one sentence in an Inside Track about it having the best backlight ability you’ve seen.
I have used almost a dozen cameras, including a few slrs, and the color from this camera beats them all.
I could probably get better results if I knew how to properly use my canon t1i, but all I have to do with the 1033 is point at something.
I miss listening to the radio on the airplane.
(Well, sort of … I still sneak on my AM FM radio now an again.)
Syndicated radio has reduced the pleasure of listening to all the stations coast-to-coast. Now, in the center of the country, all you hear is Rush Limbaugh over and over again.
But what I can’t do anymore is bring on my scanner radio. It was so great hearing the untold thousands of broadcasts you can hear at 36,000 feet.
Does a _receiver_ really threaten the airplane? More than laptops? I would like to see the proof of that.
More proof the JCD has lost his mind and has a band of nitwit followers.
