I’m actually interested in how this happened and the outcome if anyone has the story/link.
I know goods get washed overboard from time to time but how often does a container ship actually sink or come this close to it?
#5 doing Google search for ‘container ship tips over’ gave news.yahoo.com/s/ynewspoint/20100809/ts_ynewspoint/ynewspoint_ts3376 indicating it happened quite recently.
Another shooting session for one of those “Epic Fail” web sites.

This was an intentional scuttle in order to collect the insurance money, but don’t tell the insurance guys that.
Not really, Mr Dvorak. You see, the ship is in a flood-stricken area and the containers are all filled with communion wafers. As soon as the water hits those wafers, it will be absorbed rather quickly until the ship is high and dry.
The ship will then be airlifted out of the area.
The new loadmaster being an organized person wanted the shipment of feather pillows kept together on the port side while the bulldozers were kept on the starboard side…
