The Health Ministry was set to decide Monday whether to recommence influenza vaccinations after concluding if there was a connection between the vaccinations and the deaths of four people from cardiac causes between one and five days after they received their shots.
The vaccinations were temporarily halted after the four deaths were revealed and Health Minister Ya’acov Ben-Yizri, who briefed the press in an urgent meeting after the news was released on Sunday night, said the halt in vaccinations was only a safety measure, as so far “no connection” had been found between the Pasteur Institute vaccine and the tragedy.
This all we need. About a decade ago someone suggested that the MMR vaccine caused Autism. Despite a complete lack of evidence for this theory, and several huge and costly studies proving it false, a lot of people are refusing to get their kids vaccinated. Old people die all the time.
