  1. John C. Qwerty says:

    Chantix….it’s one Lethal Weapon! HAR!

  2. Andy says:

    Hi John,
    You are good as ever.
Here is good stuff from rt.tv
    http://rt.com/Top_News/2010-07-16/agent-orange-haunting-us.html
And check it till last sentence. You’ll love it.

  3. Dallas says:

Re the photo… Mel Gibson really has lost his marbles. Too bad, he was a fine actor. I don’t see him recovering from his recent misfortunes for a long time.

  4. bobbo, student of the haiku says:

I need a little help: regarding this recurring thread. This one is 2 hours long. Is there any way to tell “what its about” or are we supposed to listen for two hours to see if anything is there?

I can only guess that what the show covers is somewhere within the “notes” of the show?==but its impossible to tell what without a decoder ring.

So, is this thread for real fans of JCD or Adam Curry who have come to enjoy their show. How are “new” fans supposed to be attracted? Those so bored they will give it the time?

    What am I missing?

[It’s probably not a show for you. — JCD]

  5. Mac Guy says:

Kudos for remembering that in Lethal Weapon, he loved his Beretta 9mm (M9). Nice job including that in the pic…

  6. hhopper says:

No Agenda should be no longer than an hour. Then many more listeners would tune in.

  7. The show is designed for people with long commutes. We have trouble keeping it under two hours. An hour would be laughable. It easily dividable into hour or even half hour segments for people who want a shorter show. We could re-intro the show at the hour point and ship it as two one hour shows, would that make you happier? The fact is, it would just be a gimmick. Nobody has convinced me or given me a real argument for a shorter show since today’s technology lets you start and stop effortlessly. The show has no continuity, so stop when we change the subject. And the show has no “punchline” at the end that needs to be heard. Just stop after an hour, or 15 minutes for that matter.

As for more listeners? I doubt it. People were clamoring for a third show!!

  8. Jason says:

    Exactly John!!!

I want a third show and I don’t even have a commute!!! There is a metric ton of stuff that is never even covered but is in the show notes because of the shortage of time that there is as it is!!!

  9. hhopper says:

    JCD:

“The show has no continuity, so stop when we change the subject. And the show has no “punchline” at the end that needs to be heard. Just stop after an hour, or 15 minutes for that matter.”

    Ok, I’ll buy into that.

  10. Father says:

There was a point, three months ago, were Adam was just being impossible, and I stopped listening to full episodes. He is back on track now.

As far as I’m concerned 2-6 hours per show is fine. I’d rather see the show on Sat., because it is end of day Sunday by the time the show is posted (I’m on Eastern Time). But it’s your show.

Cranky Geeks is my favorite JCD show, and Twit is worth listening to when JCD is on.

    More wine and food please.

  11. ECA says:

    bobo..

    did you follow the link?

    http://curry.com/?p=2381%20target=

or did you know CURRY has the main thread.

  12. Randy Asher says:

I love Micky and whomever did that graphic!
    [tip of the hat]

  13. soundwash says:

ps…my plants always get spots/death curling of leaves “renewed” after it rains.

started 2 months ago (around end of may..and has quadrupled in effect the last 4 rains..ie 2.5weeks or so ago)

    you do the math.
