Engineer, Safety -Winter at South Pole (Alternate) at Raytheon Company – Yahoo! HotJobs — Good news, the job market is beginning to open up!

We are seeking a South Pole Safety, Engineer – (Alternate) to possibly winter-over at the South Pole Research Station in Antarctica. An alternate is the individual who is the “back-up” in the event that the primary candidate cannot fulfill the position requirements. If hired as a primary, deployment dates begins as early as December 2004 through November 2005.

    Sounds like a great experience as long as you don’t end up finding an alien spacecraft buried in the ice like Kirt Russell did when he was down there with the Norwegians.
