He’s a jackass, yes, but the people in the audience were being jackasses too… I suspect he’s just trying to blend in instead of being diplomatic about it.
He probably doesn’t get his name attached to much legislation either, with the attitude, but he probably doesn’t give a crap either way.
However, getting a bunch of moany pricks bitching about putting up walls on the boarder (I’m SO sure they mean Canada too) and pretending it’s not racist, and asking leading questions (oh he’s just CURIOUS, he’s never asked anyone before) just asks for someone to make fun of them.
The solution to shut them up is spend fifty or so billion of their tax money… that they don’t want to give to the government… to make a wall and beef up border security… that will then bankrupt a lot of small businesses in their area that use the cheap labor. Not saying it’s a good thing, or that I agree with it, just a fact.
If they truly want that solution then they should be 100% for increased taxes to pay for everything, draconian laws for those that hire illegals (ie you lose your business and belongings) and military presence along the entire border.
Now I wonder who that would piss off the most? Not the illegals, they’ll just come in a different way or in the trucks they come in now. Nope, it will be the Mexican government, which will then be glad to nationalize all the American businesses that use their labor and quadruple costs for anything sold to the US.
If they’re upset more about the law problems the border towns are having (which is gang related and an outgrowth of Mexico’s inability to solve its own problems) — well, why is no one talking about quadrupling police in EVERY town along the border? Oh, that’s right, they want the feds to do it, not the towns and states, because they don’t want to PAY for it.
No need for a wall. Just say starting the first of next month, you are going to shoot anyone who tries to cross. Then start shooting — men, women, children, doesn’t matter — blow ’em all away. After a couple of hundred bodies pile up, no more problems. What’s that you say? You can’t do that? If you aren’t willing to do that and see pictures of bloated corpses rotting in the desert sun, then you aren’t serious about stopping illegal immigration using force. You better start looking for a better way. All this loose talk about walls and guards and troops and such nonsense really says you are willing to solve it with a bullet. If you listen to the talk carefully, you will realize these people think of the immigrants as some kind of “sub-humans” that need to be disposed of – pests. Look at yourself in the mirror before you go to church. What would Jesus see in you?
How about instead of a fence we have a 2000 mile long 1 mile wide mine field. That might discourage travel across the border. No troops necessary.
What I find odd is that I’m English. If I wanted to emigrate to America I wouldn’t be allowed. Nope. Not allowed. I could BUY a US company and be “allowed” to stay. Or I could have some extraordinary circumstance; like I’m a famous actor.
But as a normal person, borders closed, no thank you. Take your intelligent, well educated children and bog off.
So perhaps what I need to do is go to Mexico first, get a tan and THEN sneak across the border and pretend to be Mexican and that seems to work fine.
I wonder how easy it is to get Mexican citizenship 🙂 Hmmmm

it’s not easy. And if you do get it, you give up all your rights. You can’t own property, you can’t vote, you’re not allowed to participate in politics in any capacity and you are not eligible for any govt assistance of any type. Oh and you must prove you have money in the bank to support yourself.

Those who hire illegal immigrant do it to take advantage of them. They can pay them any rate, ignore overtime laws and OSHA and everything we have in place to protect workers. Illegals get jobs legal workers won’t take because legal workers have rights. I’m sure children would take jobs adults wouldn’t if they didn’t know they had rights.
By the way, my favorite argument is, “Well, we can’t stop them, so let’s make it legal.” People will always enter the U.S. illegally, steal, murder, rape, cheat, assault, so let’s make it legal.
The only way to stop illegal immigration is to fine the employers with stiff fines for those who hire illegal immigrants. Maybe some jail time too. Only then will it stop the demand for illegal workers. No jobs and they go home.

OUR CORPS do business in Mex at 1/10th the cost of the USA. MOST cities are run by GANGS. The Mex Gov has little control. MOST of the money you make ends up in GANG hands.
Why do corps goto Mex?

They get PAID to make jobs in MEX..BY YOU.
Its to give jobs to MEX, so they dont come to our border. Corps do like it, as there are few restrictions and Pollution laws are GREAT down there. Why not make MORE jobs in mex?

Why regulate Mex workers that come to the USA..
Dont give them the Worker protections.
REQUIRE Equal wages as USA workers.
