So have they fixed the red ring of death?
Like with Windows. The Xbox and PCs are both trapped by their installed base of software and OS. So the next great thing can’t be made, if it jeopardizes all that older software’s compatibility. Until the Games makers are willing to sacrifice the current installed base of existing software. Nothing “new” will be forth coming. Apparently the current games are still too profitable to risk alienating its users.
I like who nobody can accurately calculate how much crude oil is spewing out of BP’s broken well, that’s only 5,000 feet down. But they can tell us how much water they feel exists hundreds of thousands of miles away, and many feet below the Moon’s surface. It’s astonishing, to say the very least. If this moon water were spewing out of a broken well head, polluting near space, they’d probably have No idea how much water was leaking. But as a yet untapped potential, they “know for sure” how much water is present. Credit their divining rods, I guess.
2,
DITTO.
the realization that a console lasting 5 years? is a wonder, that MS FIXES over 50% of the 360’s, as long as you DONT break the warranty.
That a NEW console is coming in the next few years, and it will cost you another $400, $50 per game, $50 for highspeed access, and $10 per month to be ONLINE USING IT.
But will it be NEW and not use NETFLICKS?
Starbucks was riding high until people had to start economizing. I don’t know about y’all but the Starbucks Mochas, Chais and Frappuccinos were the first thing to go. You can sort of justify a mocha if you can sit down and get some “work” done online or pull your e-mail.
So here it is June 15th and the PC Mag column you scooped on Tech 5 on the 14th is still no where to be found. This is not the first time I have observed this, but it is much slower than usual to post a column you mentioned in our blog. You might get your friends a PC mag to post a bit faster if you are going to blog about it.
