With the GyroTransport you really could go to a meeting and make that important presentation with nothing but the contents of your pockets, as long as there’s a computer and projector at your destination. With all the crap you have to go through with your baggage at the airport lately, it’s nice to have the option to leave your hardware behind.
Road warriors and anyone who has ever lugged around a computer to make a presentation, can celebrate today as Gyration ships its GYROTRANSPORT™ to major retailers. The ultra-small wireless remote control Air Mouse with 1GB of built-in memory permits presentation of any MS Office files as well as video and audio on any Windows laptop or computer.
“Now you can just drag and drop your music, picture or presentation files onto the USB drive of the GYROTRANSPORT and you are good to go,” said Tom Quinn, CEO Gyration. “This tiny device can be carried in a pocket, purse, or attached to a keychain and enables users to take their data anywhere. Just plug it into any Windows computer, and you’re ready to go without having to download or install anything. All types of applications and content can be launched from the GYROTRANSPORT, be it a PowerPoint presentation, a video, or even MP3 files.”
As someone who has to present often, this thing could make my life a lot simpler.
Sorry, sire this is on the list of banned items. We’ll be keeping that.
😉
I am using Gyro’s older model wireless mouse for my presentations for a long time. It is nice as it senses any 3D motion thus making various actions during presentation possible. It’s buttons can be programmed in a similar fashion. The only thing I am not happy in this story (as all characteristics of this new version seem exactly on target of what I want) is their blind focus on MS software… I do my presentations from Linux. The older model can be used simply with Linux, but I hope Gyro’ didn’t use some insane drivers in this model limiting it to MS platform… However, focus in the text is so much on MS software that I am afraid they did go that way…
