City Won’t Return Medical Marijuana — You have to wonder how some of these dipshits can sleep at night. It’s disgusting.
ROYAL OAK — The city won’t return medical marijuana confiscated from a registered patient during a traffic stop or compensate him for it, according to a letter sent Tuesday to the American Civil Liberties Union.
City Attorney David Gillam said the patient, a 46-year-old Royal Oak man with multiple sclerosis, violated the 2008 Michigan Medical Marijuana Act by possessing marijuana obtained from someone who is not his registered caregiver.
The best way to view his “wall” is to have pirate language on so you can view him as a man who pillaged the poor people. One day they will give up this hopeless battle and let these poor people have something organic that helps them feel better.
I already feel safer now that this bag of marijuana is off the street!
As is ALWAYS (99.99) the case, this is not a technicality, ITS THE LAW!!
When 20 years ago you could go to jail for life for possessing a marijuana seed if passing thru Texas, to today where some States make MEDICAL MJ legal to possess is NOT a carte blanch invitation to support illegal and untaxed MJ sources.
“You see” the law serves many masters, not just the single issue of interest to you.
But yea, one day, the revolution when moralizing nutbag hypocrites allow their fellow citizens to exercise their own free-will and autonomy.
I agree, it’s the law. Referring to the law as “a technicality” is pretty specious.
They couldn’t return it to the guy if they wanted to. They smoked it up already.
Don’t people know that drugs are bad? Pain and suffering are a gift from the creator to be embraced and appreciated, not treated with an illegal, immoral, debasing and degenerate substance. What good is it to treat a condition with a morally compromising substance that renders one a criminal? Isn’t it better to suffer and remain morally pure? I choose to put all of my trust in the corporate and political philosophy that ignores tens or hundreds of thousands of years of human experience. If humans were meant to consume cannabis it wouldn’t be illegal, would it? It would grow naturally and the human body would employ similar compounds that naturally replicate the molecular active ingredients. If humans were meant to consume cannabis it would be for sale at Wal-Mart.
The law was broken, he was found guilty and so he has no RIGHT to get something he obtained illegally back.
If I knowingly bought a HDTV from an illegal source and I got caught I would not get my money nor the TV back.
Why didn’t he JUST buy from his legal source? He has the right to have it, why didn’t he just do it in the correct manner?
This is either a case the guy was lazy and/or cheap.

Technicality?
Empathy??? Logic and reasoning??? And – why the hell bother???
Multiple sclerosis is life in hell!!! Give the man whatever he needs, wants and desires!
But – seriously, loook at that woman…. brrrrrrrrr…. not with a 10 foot pole!
Just go buy another bag down the street. The great thing about this world is that anytime a government makes something illegal some enterprising entrepreneur supplies the product.
Posting to this facebook page will accomplish nothing, this is his election for mayor page. He has not been back since he won on Nov 4th. This page is nothing to him anymore.
You need to find his regular page though I’m thinking he probably does not know what it really is and had one of his aids run the election one.
I thought democrats were for open use of all drugs?
First let me say that I strongly favor legalization of Marijuana.
But… the whole Medical Marijuana thing is starting to stick in my craw. It reeks of, say, a terrorist group hiding in a kindergarten… using the ill as human shields.
Instead of winking and nodding and using Medical Marijuana is a red herring to get it legal, there should be a more honest and upfront debate about it. Whining about all the poor, sick people who are being hurt by this is manipulative and disingenuous.
It is a benefit, to be sure, but medical weed is certainly not what this is all about…
Are you sure that isn’t Lewis Black’s evil twin?
(clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap)
NOW, let’s give a big hand for Ventriloquist, Mayor Jim Ellison, AND his sassy wooden sidekick …Jodeeeeee!

When has any political debate been honest and upfront?
Yep, this guy looks suspicious to me. From what I was told medical marijuana is top quality, so why bother with contraband? What’s he trying to prove by asking for his dope back? What’s up with that shirt? We’re fortunate to live in a society where we can see our tax money in action. They’re on to this dangerous subversive. YOU’RE NEXT!
Another casualty in the War on Drugs.
“.. he purchased the marijuana “from a guy downriver near Trenton””. OK, got that.
For everyone who thinks he broke the law,
The police don’t have a leg to stand on. He produced a registry card as required.

The pot he stole apparently made him pay for a bad haircut and a weird shirt. Unsure why the woman is sticking around this loser.
8,
“If humans were meant to consume cannabis it wouldn’t be illegal, would it? It would grow naturally and the human body would employ similar compounds that naturally replicate the molecular active ingredients.”
You are either really f*cking stupid, or just really bad at sarcasm. If the latter, I apologize.
What is more natural than a plant that comes out of the ground and can be consumed (eaten) with no processing, tools, or preparation of any kind. The hemp plant is also useful for oil, fabric, paper, and many other products. There are also natural cannabinoids in the brain.
So on both points you are talking with your head either firmly wedged in your ass, or with too little sarcastic reference to make it obvious to the casual reader that you are not an idiot.
your dearth from useful medical trial statistics — randomized, regulated, double-blind samples involving huge patient populations — could be the biggest barrier facing marijuana’s legitimacy. While countless smaller tests are performed which will support at the same time sides with the health fight, political together with economic reasons will form the main impetus for that legalization from marijuana. for just a state just like California, whose price range deficit portions to quantities of dollars, the likely tax earnings from legalized cannabis is big money that is going way up in smoke.
