An unusual type of swimwear is standing out on Turkish beaches this summer — Islam-inspired swimsuits — which buck the trend of the past 100 years for swimsuits to get smaller.
Turkish businessman Mehmet Sahin has designed what he says is the world’s first Islam-inspired swimsuit and sells head-to-ankle bathing gear to devout well-heeled Muslims, including the wives of Turkey’s leading politicians.
These costumes are a throwback to the type of swimwear worn before Australian swimmer Annette Kellerman invented and wore the first one piece swimsuit in 1906. She was arrested in the United States in 1907 for wearing the one piece suit that showed her arms, legs and neck.
We shouldn’t leave our Christian sisters out of consideration. Here’s a stylish version — also offered with long sleeves and extending down between knee and ankle.
Hey sharky
Is that a seal?? or a walrus??? Its got fins, lets bite it.
Those whores are showing their faces!
dam just seeing the frst one’s feet should get her stoned
I didn’t realize men had to wear dress style bathing suits!
New Fundamentalist Cross Dressing style!
I didn’t think this was a good idea until I saw the picture attached to the “Brits Say Fat Women Shouldn’t Get Fertility Help” post. Now I’m ready to invest. Although, in those “plus” sizes, they will need to add running lights and string tires around the belt area to protect other swimmers.

culture blends both ways.
as far as the christian jab in the post goes, I haven’t known the christians in this city to dress any different than anyone else…
Hawt.
I thought you only hung out with farm animals, wt? 🙂
Actually, a couple of gigs back, I worked for a Xhristian company that wouldn’t let female employees go sleeveless — even in the summer — until someone turned their butt in to the state.
Are the two christians really Warren Jeffs first and second wive.
I’ve been on several Turkish beaches on the Aegean coast and women were dressed pretty much like women here in the states. So I wonder if there is a market in Turkey for these swim (er drowning) suits.
One more thing the muslims beat the Fundamentalist Christians to 🙂
Victoria’s Secret lives up to it’s name there.
I’m reminded of that old “schwimveer” modeling commercial….
Where are the feminists when you need them?
Can’t think of a more repressive set of restrictions on women than Islamic ones yet the sisterhood cringes before the might of this belief system on the basis of cultural relativism.
This is a religion that unambigously says: “You can trust a man and a woman in the same room that are unrelated” and “Women aren’t supposed to shakehands with men …” (fill in the bogus reason yourself).
The Aussie
Wow, you don’t like the idea of women dressing modestly.
All this to prevent guys from feeling guilty for being attracted to another guy’s property. ; ) Here’s to the primitive religious brain! For all those that deny evolution because of the lack of a “missing link”….look in the mirror.
On the plus side, this will prevent sun aging and keep your property young and supple for well into their 40’s. : )
This all shebang about islamic dress code is a conspiracy brought forth by textile industry multinationals to sell the “westernized” clothing standard in Islamic nations. They use less raw material and sell at higher rates that way.
definately eliminates a need for bikini wax
I wouldn’t anyways, but it looks as if I won’t be traveling to Turkey anytime soon.
I am totally offended by that foot flash also. Let’s clean this up and stop posting these racy pics. Everyone knows what bare women’s feet do to men.

I’m with you Iwa. Let’s you and me start censoring this site. I’m all about being tolerant, but not when people are saying things I disagree with. That’s where I just have to draw the line.
