Oh, yeah. This is the kind of politician I want to vote for.
Democrats complain about Bryson camp’s use of laser pointers
NASHVILLE, Tenn. The governor’s race has turned from finger pointing to laser pointing.
Members of Republican state Sen. Jim Bryson’s gubernatorial campaign are accused of pointing handheld lasers at members of the state’s Democratic Party.Bryson is challenging Democratic Governor Bredesen in the general election November 7th.
Will Hammond, a regional field director for the Democratic Party, filed a police complaint that says a member of the Bryson campaign flashed a laser pointer at him and a cameraman at a rally Thursday.
The two were videotaping the rally for the Democratic Party.
Hammond said his eyes hurt for several hours after the incident.
A Kingston police officer spoke to a member of the Bryson campaign and warned of the legal ramifications if a person’s eyesight was damaged by the lasers.
Lance Frizzell, Bryson’s press secretary, said the laser was not pointed at anyone’s eyes, but was pointed at the camera lens to deter the opposition from videotaping events.
Frizzell said the laser causes the camera to go out of focus.
If that happened in NJ, the person would be arrested for harassment, no questions asked. We had a big problem when laser pointers came out and were dirt cheap.
Do you really want to get into compairing childish foolish illegal behavior by radical supporters of political parties.
FUN FUN FUN….
Children Children….
I think it would be unlawful to inhibit the taping of this event if it was held in public. If you don’t want what you have said to become public record, do it in a private forum.
Those laser pointers can do severe damage to the eye, so while it sounds like they are whining, it is definitely a legitimate complaint.
In other news, Republican party accepting bids from 12-year olds.
What a bunch of losers. Someone is a jerk and points a laser pointer at you, so you decide to sue? Why not get a bunch of your campain workers and have all of them point paser pointers at him the next rally? That would be a lot more fun and wouldn’t involve looking like a whiny baby.
I’m telling my MOM!
