Hundreds of thousands of swine flu shots for children have been recalled because tests indicate the vaccine doses lost some strength, government health officials said Tuesday.
The shots, made by Sanofi Pasteur, were distributed across the country last month and most have already been used, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The 800,000 pre-filled syringes that were recalled are for young children, ages 6 months to nearly 3 years.
Lost some strength, sure.
Hmm… I wonder if Taxpayers will get a refund? Not holding my breath.
It isn’t fine wine, it does not improve with age.
Can you spell “saline solution?”
Probably ‘table salt’ and ‘water’ from the tap.
take yer medicine, suckers
I guess they didn’t kill as many people as they had hoped.
Just so that I can plan for it on my calendar, when, exactly, are the jack-booted government thugs going to kick down my door and force me to get the flu shot at gunpoint? This site has been kind of mum on the subject after the initial articles alerting me to the fact that it was an inevitability.
mmm mmm yummy koolaid
Why don’t they just reuse the needles? That will kill some people too.
/too fucking stoopid I guess
I am ever so glad that the first seven posts are not representative of the real world.
Continuing the internet meme, “Needs more bacon.”
“most have already been used” How the hell do you recall a flu shot that has already been used?
#11 Can you say Dracula?
I was told on this site I was an idiot for not getting this vaccination.
#13. Not by me…….or any of the editors, must have been one of our resident left wingnuts. (see above).
Hmmm. Vaccine not potent enough? Is it a coincidence then that health officials have been saying H1N1 has not been as serious as expected?
Now we know why the Obamas didn’t get their kids vaccinated.
ROFL, and the public will STILL trust the government with their blood, you watch, they will make even more demands that the government provide these replacement shots even stronger.
STUPOOOD PEEPLE
#17 – Pedro : Actually no. It would not produce such a strain of the virus. That’s not how vaccines work. Vaccines are designed to invoke an immune response – that is, ‘train’ the immune system to fight the virus. A weak vaccine will not sufficiently ‘train’ the immune system and it will be unable to fight off the virus should it appear.
A too weak antibiotic can certainly encourage the rise of a resistant strain. That’s because antibiotics directly attack bacteria. A weak antibiotic and strong bacteria survive!
