First Ken Lay dies under suspicious circumstances, and now this. (We’re not the only ones who find it convenient.) Will it start to look like DeNiro in Goodfellas? Are we going to start finding people in meat lockers?

A body found in north-east London has been identified as that of a banker who was questioned by the FBI about the Enron fraud case.

Police said they were treating the death in Chingford of Neil Coulbeck, who worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland until 2004, as “unexplained”.

He had been interviewed by the FBI as a potential witness.

Oh well, time will tell.

Ken Lay didn’t die under suspicious circumstances. Another lie. I guess you think if you say it enough, people will accept it as true?

Thousands of people were interviewed about Enron. Will every one that dies be “suspicious?”

  2. James Hill says:

@1 – Many were questioned, few were making money off of it… and only a select few knew where the money went.

Yes, he died under suspicious circumstances: His death has blocked the government from seizing his assets. That doesn’t sound suspicious to you?

  3. Dan says:

Skilling knows where the bodies are buried and Lays death is a message to him.BTW we do have drugs that can cause a heart attack and are undetectabe. If it is politicly possible I think Bush will pardon Jeffie at the end of his reign.Personally I hope he ends up someones bitch.

  4. rwilliams254 says:

It’s a conspiracy. The black helicopters are everywhere. President Bush is personally killing these people with the help of the VP. It’s a conspiracy…everywhere!!!….

When millions of dollars are involved, people often find themselves in delicate positions…

  6. catbeller says:

Suck it in, all of you. Personal friends of the President who own millions in offshore accounts can engineer a “death” quite easily. Minds as crafty and, well, evil as Lay’s would find a way. Not for a three month sentence, but a multiple year stretch would inspire him to new heights of bastardry.

Solution is simple. When Lex Luthor dies, you damned well impound the body until independent examiners check the identity of the corpse. Case closed. If somehow the body gets cremated REALLY QUICKLY, someone is pulling a fast one.

Produce the body. Verify that the bastard is dead.

Didn’t Vince Foster and William Casey also die at just the right moment too. Perhaps the code of the Samurai is in effect?

  8. mike cannali says:

An undetectable drug that causes a heart attack:
Cocane – not undetectable – but not unexpected either.
It’s easy explained or covered up to protect the dignity of the corpse.

I really wish John C. would put in a Tabloid News category to file these types of stories in. It would make reading them far more coherent.

  10. AB CD says:

Why did they extradite those other British bankers in the first place? Made the Brits very angry, especially because the US hasn’t ratified that extradition treaty and certainly won’t send anyone to Britain for the same.

  11. Smartalix says:

    “coherent”?
