I find the torrent phenomenon to be a joke. The moment you join a torrent, everyone else can see your IP address. A little birdie tells me the first thing the media companies will do is join torrents in order to harvest IPs. Be safe, don’t use torrent sites.

#1 Be safe, don’t use PUBLIC torrent sites 😉

Hey, do they have flowstone caves in Silicon Valley? Or did you record this from your bathroom with the water running?

  4. B.Dog says:

John, I’ve been hearing the folks at Neomagic use the term “feature phone” for over 5 years now. You may remember Neomagic as the company that provided the system on a chip processor inside your Neonode phones.

There is some legal stuff on the torrents that interests me but I don’t want their software on my machines so forget it.

How many people have had their internet “pulled” in the UK, so far? Just asking.

    Hollywood so doesn’t get it.

Only lawyers are profiteering from this war against BitTorrent.

    People WANT on-demand HDTV

As for the apple tablet thingie, is it really so hard to understand what is different now?
    App store.
Perhaps (if they are smart) existing apps will be compatible with it.
Or perhaps no biggie making it compatible.
So now you got an device that is bigger and more useful for all those nice little apps.
Think of it, loads of apps will simply benefit with the bigger screen, i can not see how it would be a disadvantage.
The only thing that it will not be great as, is as a phone, but then you can either get an iphone or some regular cheap crap phone for actually calling with.
Probably cheaper to make it phone less, and a reason to get the Iphone too.
But then again no phone company to “help” with the cost too.
So now you can actually use the media device in your pocket without draining your phone.
As for how large it is, people carry around books, paper notebooks, pocketbooks and other crap, so i see no reason this would scare away many potential customers.
Ewen battery life may be better, if it is bigger, or two regular(new) ones in it.
