This is bad news for Microsoft. I’m concerned that Peedrool may cut his wrists.
Postman? Whither Microsoft?
Seriously, I’m sorry to see it. I’m not a big MS fan over the last few years but it ain’t good for the tech industry where many of us work. Thank Dog Apple, Google, and Oracle are hanging during the downturn.
Really happy with my Squarespace blog. Thanks for the tip and discount, John!
Never be an analyst. Rob Enderle just bites it during this interview.
I am suspicious that the book removal was a test to see how we Americans would react to such an event. The two books by Orwell are perfect for this sort of test, mostly for the ironic value.
#4 I don’t think I’ve ever heard Rob Enderle make an accurate prediction. Most of his comments about past events are usually wrong too. But he has the one vital skill to be a TV analyst: he can speak on camera without any concern about the facts.

I thought Apple was supposed to have done great?
The iphone has one market, the ipod has another, and the Mac is taking nearly all the high in computer sales.
For some reason I just don’t want any of them. The more people droll over them the less I like them for some reason. I think I don’t like products that depend on snob appeal.
deowll,
I have a colleague (she’s a program manager) who’s running an HP Pavilion with Ubuntu and absolutely loves it. She also does a ton of photography which is not what you usually think of when you think Linux. I think it’s worth a look.
Here’s a breakout the MS numbers by division. Surprisingly it’s not just the lull before the Windows 7 rollout, it seems pretty widespread including even the server/tools division.
It’s about time – they were really starting to smell!
