    The point is, NO ONE knows. Whatever is taught is pretty much guaranteed to be false unless there is a big disclaimer that it is all a guess.

    Sue your school district for failure to provide you a basic education in what science is. You are unable to tell the difference, which is surprising since you have some slight knowledge of technology and engineering with no idea how it came to be.
