  1. Hmeyers says:

No because Twitter is worthless .. for starters.

  2. Marc says:

Why are the twitter owners such idiots. They can’t figure out how to place ads on their twitter site?

    Digg figured it out.

Not that i want ads and i don’t use twitter anyway but if we’re talking business i don’t understand why it’s such a big deal for them to turn it into profit.

  3. chuck says:

Apple plans to offer Twitter 5 cents for every useful tweet ever sent.

That, plus $4.95 will buy you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

  4. @marc, Twitter has no need for a business model at this time. They’ll role something out this year, but it probably won’t be ads to start.

Apple would be retarded to buy twitter. That’s about a smart as eBay if they were to buy Skype… thankfully that never happened…

  5. djrob says:

First nazi propaganda, now gossip about trojans in Win 7, Dvorak you completely lost any credibility.

  6. john says:

Apple won’t buy Twitter. Apple didn’t buy Universal Music, Nintendo, Palm, Sun (*ahem*), Adobe, or anyone else. Evan Williams has a bucket of money from Blogger already, he wants to do something else with Twitter. I think John Calacanis is right on this.

Desktop sales are declining. Laptops are flattening out. Netbooks and phones are the growth. Microsoft doesn’t seem interested in phones and can’t make money on Netbooks. Kindles are hot but only “OK”. Rim is DOS. Sony and Nintendo don’t want to grow beyond the cartridge style gaming platform. Palm is still in but are looking like Apple circa 1995 – tough hole to get out of and no Jobs in sight. Android needs some sexy hardware. Apple is obsessed with the market and has bundle of money. Also, look where the developers are right now – WWDC is the hottest geek ticket this year.

  7. Mr Diesel says:

Twitter is one of the most useless junk web sites ever perpetrated on mankind and along similar lines so is MySpace and Facebook.

If I were going to waste my time it would be at some uncensored blog site…….

  8. orangetiki says:

I haven’t seen this much fanboy banter and hate since Capt. Kirk Vs. Capt. Piccard fiasco

  9. Chirping says:

Who’s the bird brain that thinks that a tech show in the forest is a good idea?

  10. el.cato says:

Dude, really! The trojan-infected Windows 7 RC copies are the ones being downloaded though third-party sources (duh), not in the official download from Microsoft.

    What you said is missleading.

  11. Angel H. Wong says:

Why would Apple buy Twitter? SO THEY CAN MAKE SURE IT WORKS LIKE SILK ON THEIR APPLE PRODUCTS AND SHIT-LIKE BUGGY ON ANY OTHER DEVICES.

  12. James Raider says:

As much as the rumor mill is pushing the Twitter acquisition story, it flies in the face of common sense.

    http://pacificgatepost.blogspot.com/2009/05/common-sense-apple-will-not-twitter.html

    Apple is NOT eBay.

  13. deowll says:

Hmm,nobody checked out the claim that ms was shipping a trojan rather than people getting them off torrents.
