Apple won’t buy Twitter. Apple didn’t buy Universal Music, Nintendo, Palm, Sun (*ahem*), Adobe, or anyone else. Evan Williams has a bucket of money from Blogger already, he wants to do something else with Twitter. I think John Calacanis is right on this.
Desktop sales are declining. Laptops are flattening out. Netbooks and phones are the growth. Microsoft doesn’t seem interested in phones and can’t make money on Netbooks. Kindles are hot but only “OK”. Rim is DOS. Sony and Nintendo don’t want to grow beyond the cartridge style gaming platform. Palm is still in but are looking like Apple circa 1995 – tough hole to get out of and no Jobs in sight. Android needs some sexy hardware. Apple is obsessed with the market and has bundle of money. Also, look where the developers are right now – WWDC is the hottest geek ticket this year.
Twitter is one of the most useless junk web sites ever perpetrated on mankind and along similar lines so is MySpace and Facebook.

Why would Apple buy Twitter? SO THEY CAN MAKE SURE IT WORKS LIKE SILK ON THEIR APPLE PRODUCTS AND SHIT-LIKE BUGGY ON ANY OTHER DEVICES.
