This morning’s view from the hotel. Over the weekend I’ll be publishing the photos from the Queensday festivities. According to the long-term weather reports it should be raining. Note the total lack of clouds.

Nice, look forward to the other photos.
Hey, what happened to the Tech5 report?
Don’t know where you get your weather reports, John. WeatherBonk says you have only a 10% chance of precipitation in Amsterdam.
“According to the long-term weather reports it should be raining. Note the total lack of clouds.”
Yet you believe the same people when they say global warming is a fact not a theory.
That’s funny – I have the same view.
Mr. Dvorak,
Please take pictures of the women in the windows for us! Better yet, have someone take a picture of your dancing with them in the windows!
Will you be reporting from the ‘coffee houses’?
J/P=?
One of my favourite cities. I go there as often as I can.
Amsterdam rules, I was there about a year ago and instantly fell in love. Go check out Bulldogs then stroll around and stare and the insanely hot women cruising around on bicycles.
When you get the munchies, nothing beats the french fries at FEBO!!!!!!!
Have a blast!!!
I hope you enjoyed your stay here. I wish we could have met on Queensday. Plans changed.
Too bad… for me 😉
Nice Picture…looking forward to the rest of them, especially the Madurodam ones…
Have a safe flight back.
Hi John, hope you had a nice time in ‘the Dam’;it sure is a unique place! Enjoy your last day. Gr. Jay
You should check out the large floating Chinese restaurant (to the unseen left of this view)
🙁 no click to embiggen…
Nice pic. a high res would be nice.

Hey, Mr. John C. … Whatever happened to your good ol’ habit of posting a slideshow of your travel’s pics…
I’m still waiting for Lisbon. You got one in your twitter page, and that’s it…
We’re a bit voyeurs here (at least I am.) and like to know where you tread…
(and being Portuguese, I’m just dying to know what picked your interest in Lisbon.)
I’ll bet the smoke columns in the background are from giganto splyfs and I’ll further bet Mr. Curry is somewhere close with a propane torch. 😉
Hope you had a blast in Amsterdam, it’s a great city and Queens Day is a great time to be in The Netherlands. Be sure to post some pics 🙂
Those aren’t clouds of smoke coming from the chimneys. Nothing to see here: It’s clean coal[TM].
