It would have been nice if he had the guts to actually answer the question on abortion law. Oh well.
Articulate, thorough, accountable, intelligent and sincere. It was the awesome news conference I expect from this president.
Very disheartened to hear that republican struggles for survival are interfering with our nations get well plan. Disgusting .
#2 – So you’re going to believe everything Obama says because he says it? Where’s the evidence that “Republican struggles for survival are interfering?” What about your children’s get well plan? How are they going to deal with the debt that Obama and the Democrats are racking up? Just curious?

The Dems have the votes to do absolutely anything they want to do any time they want to do it. All they have to do is to get their party to vote for it.
I loved everything about it!
Regardless of who’s to blame for the mess the world’s in, the man find’s himself in what could eventually be the most difficult and complicated presidencies of all time (up there with Lincoln and FDR). I’ve been watching presidents since Johnson, and never have I seen a president work harder. He’s had his share of slip ups and bonehead moves, but considering his activity level that’s to be expected. Sure there are unkept promises, but 100 days is not a long time.
I’m still impressed and that’s extraordinary because my attitude about politics and politicians can be summed up by what I teach my kids – Those are the guys that nailed Jesus to the cross. When they get older I explain that rarely is anyone ambitious enough to reach a position of power, worthy of the trust and responsibility that position requires.
I am still so amazed by the fact we have a man in that office who can speak clearly, in proper Enlish, proper grammar, and can properly pronounce the word nuclear, that I didn’t even notice the content of the news conference. Not really, it was a pretty good effort, the man has great communication skills and is very good at making himself look confident and put his audience at ease.
He can’t blame Bush for the deficit: it is his own now, and he is choosing to increase it a lot. Budget projects are now that he will add as much national debt in 5 years as Bush did in 8.
Whatever problems he inherited, he is doing a pretty good job of making new problems.

The right has no fallback position if Obama is successful. Their only tactic is to hope for failure. What a pathetic bunch of losers.

First, I congratulate you on handle, short for ‘Care less’. It fits the sentiment of the pathetic republican party hoping for failure.
Two your question, nobody likes a big debt but unless you believe in the tooth fairy, getting out of this mess requires investment to put people back to work and infrastructure spending is just the ticket.
Perhaps you believe in one of the two GOP ideas: (1) Do nothing and with a finger up your ass or (2)Pour more money in the military for war.
Both are old, stale or useless ideas that the people voted out.
#13 – No, I don’t believe that do nothing is an option, and I don’t believe more money for the war is a solution. I’m just not sure that taking a trillion dollars from taxpayers to prop up failing companies is a good idea either.
Also, while it’s great that Obama claims to have saved 150,000 jobs, there is something like a million people that have lost them. What did it cost to save those 150,000 jobs? Did we get what we paid for? I’m just not sure that we did.
On another note, Obama said at one point he understands that he doesn’t have a rubber stamp Congress, and that he doesn’t want one. But then he turned around and said he wished people would stop getting in the administrations way for a year and just sign things. Doesn’t seem right to me.

When Obama succeeds in making good of the carp that Governor Bush and company left him, they will be doomed to hide under a rock somewhere.
Maybe Texas and Georgia WILL secede, along with the other redneck states that sap the treasury, getting back more than they pay to the feds in taxes, and the rest of us will be better off as they fail!
I think that, unlike Bush, Obama is trying his best to help this country… not make the rich richer.
It’s been a long time since I was able to sit through a whole presidential snooze conference. He’s a politician so things said should be weighed against his position. All-in-all I thought the conference was performed very well.

you can see it in his face. he is holding
back his true feelings because they are in complete conflict and opposition with the grossly corrupt individuals that are in
charge of orchestrating every second of
his life since becoming president.
during his campaign…, you could see the charisma and genuine love affair he had
with himself, his constituents and his campaign.
the light in his eyes is dimming and the genuine spirit he had during his campaign is
dying as it is slowly consumed by the cancer
that has surrounded him.
during his press conference last night, they made sure to either use long shots, or semi long side views from beside him whenever he was answering questions which required unscripted thought.
-the vast majority of off the cuff answers lacked any frontal/facial close ups which would allow one to read his face or expressions.
to do so would have revealed even more, the obvious disbelief he has in even his own words. because they are not even his own
-his handlers dare not let him speak his mind.
he is allowed to be an animated kissinger

what i saw last night was a man who has come to relize he has been put in charge of the destruction of America and there is nothing
he can do about it.
all the kool-aid in the world can’t help him now.
