Aha! Jokes > School Jokes > World history by students — On this page you’ll find a good solid hour of “Norm Crosby” humor with malaprops, double-entendres, wrong usages and just plain eye-rollers. This is supposedly a compendium of idiotic exposition written by students. It’s hilarious.

example:

Without the Greeks we wouldn’t have history. The Greeks invented three kinds of columns – Corinthian, Doric, and Ironic. They also had myths. A myth is a female moth. One myth says that the mother of Achilles dipped him in the River Stynx until he became intollerable. Achilles appears in The Iliad, by Homer. Homer also wrote The Oddity, in which Penelope was the last hardship that Ulysses endured on his journey. Actually, Homer was not written by Homer but by another man of that name.

  1. Improbus says:

    Homer says, “D’Oh!”

  2. Some of the material at that page appears in a book wrtten by Dr. Seuss (under his real name) called “Boners” n the 1930’s. There is no attribution to Teg Geisel. I wouldn’t want to bet that students accidentally made up all these jokes.

  3. Albert says:

The dumbing down of America is real, prime example of how dumb we are is explained at this site, give it a peek.
