An [Ohio University] officer on patrol saw a bike in a busy area of campus early yesterday that sported a sticker reading, This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb.
Buildings were shut down. The Columbus Division of Fire’s bomb squad drove down to investigate. Authorities used a high-powered water spray on the bike, and then pried it apart with a hydraulic device.
Hours later, police learned that the sticker referred to the Pensacola, Fla., band This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb and had nothing to do with the bike’s contents.(more…)
Proving once more, that not everything you read is true.
COOL!
I’m making up a sticker that says “I’m a young, firm twentysomething hot girl, ask me out” and see if that works. (I’ll stick it on my less than firm, older buttocks.)
Smoke filled bar……three in the morning…..you wont need the sticker John
They had to charge him. Otherwise they would have looked foolish and have to pony up for the bike.
“Proving once more, that not everything you read is true.”
And more, that EVERYTHING you THINK is not true.
If you were trying to set of an explosive, you would put a sticker on it to let the authorities know what it is. You wouldn’t want to hide it so you could cause greater damage, that would be too easy.
Someone should put a “this police car is a pipe bomb” sticker on a police car and see what happens.
“This dog is a pipe bomb” anyone?
Ignorance is bliss……it’s covering your ass when you screw up that hurts.
