Quiet and understated.

A superb advert. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get BBC Radio 4 on the internet. Either that or I must build a very large antenna array for the short wave radio…

  2. Gasparrini says:

#1, well, you can try this page:

    http://bbc.co.uk/radio4/

There’s a button for listening live to the radio channel, however, this might be limited only to the U.K.

  3. xenos23 says:

    BBC 4

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/

    and BBC 7

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio7/

both work in the US and have lots of great content

  4. Ah_Yea says:

I vote for alone. Better than the alternative.

  5. Ben Waymark says:

I am glad the £140 pounds I have to pay ever year to licence my TVs and Radios are going to something other than enforcing the payment of the £140 every year through adverts like these: http://www.turnoffyourtv.com/international/bbc.betterlifead.jpg or this: http://tinyurl.com/dhg284

  6. Ah_Yea says:

    #4,

Looks like I should bring my own TV if ever I go to Britain.

  7. KD Martin says:

#2, Gasparrini, do you know any of the new show titles to be broadcast? It seems BBC has podcasts available for many shows, and a “listen again” feature as well.

    Thanks.

  8. Gasparrini says:

#6, the only thing I can say is that as a foreigner some of the humour is difficult to like since it’s ‘too British’, meaning that it deals with cultural aspects and references that I have no clue what they are about.

  9. hahnarama says:

Real Player? WTF?! I guess I won’t be listening to Radio 4

  10. chuck says:

    What’s a radio?

  11. BubbaRay says:

#9, pfkad, thanks for the public service announcement! real alt is great.

  12. TVAddict says:

Pretty funny GetSmart. I also wonder how SciFi plays on the radio. SciFi books are cool but I have doubts about radio/audio.
