The naughty language used throughout makes it definitely NSFW, but given how much I want to buy this NOW!!!!, it’s probably pretty accurate. OK, actually, I want to buy two.

Fantastic!
My wife thinks every gadget should be reported like this.
Something the Leibertarians can rush out and buy.
Hey you ain’t no effen Leibertarian worth duck poop if you don’t have one in each damn room and two in the effen basement.
#3 Mr. Fusion
Would you lookup Leibertarian in the dictionary?
And I wonder why people buy Macs……?
I really hope Sony catch the point here, despite foul language and all. Their stuff is made by engineers for engineers. Look at the remote control for any Sony devise for Gods sake, and compare it Apple’s.
No need to be a rocket scientist to realize why #2 above hits the nail on the head…..
I have often railed in my columns against feature creep and functionality overload. Not too many listen, as it seems engineers love to lard on as many functions into a device as possible.
AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA
that is gold! now to get back to work.
nathan
Absolutely fucking hilarious! Thanks Uncle Dave.
Now, to get back to emailing CNN to thank them for providing 2 hours live coverage today of the Caylee Anthony Memorial Service followed by a 1 hour Nancy Grace Special Analysis.
Sadly, that last bit is not a spoof.
Typical, I went to Best Buy to get one, and they were sold out… Now I’ll have to get it on eBay!
I could not agree more.. This describes Sony to a “T”.
They did forgot to mention the word Proprietary in their coverage of Sony, which if you look it up on wiki means Sony in Japanese.
That’s why I love The Onion.
So … Sony makes all the DTV setup boxes under different brand names with slightly different wording in the unreadable instructions?
WILL IT FUCKING BLEND????
Really, I love Sony 🙂 But this was 5 stars hilarious!
Sounds like all the SORRY, er, SONY equipment I ever bought:
audio cassette/radio: began eating tapes the first day out of warranty
AM/FM/PSB radio: detuned about a week after the end of the warranty
Laptop (VAIO): Purchased with extended warranty (I know, I know…), spent about 1 year out of that warranty being returned to purchaser and shipped for repair, returned with it still unable to boot.
J/P=?
That is the funniest Onion newscast I’ve ever seen. Triple Har!
Nice find!
#5 I don’t blame the engineers, I blame the marketing dept. They talk up the product and what wonderful things it can do before the engineers even have a working proof of concept, much less a preproduction model.
‘nother Sony fanboy here, and yes, this is fucking hilarious! I love the Onion; they just keep getting funnier.
