The truth? You can’t handle the truth. Punk!

KRT Wire | 12/05/2005 | Witness in Saddam trial tells of human meat grinder — Ack.

The first witness to appear in court Monday for Saddam Hussein’s trial was able to keep his composure as he recounted the 1982 massacre of Dujail in a vivid, albeit rambling, monologue.

He spoke of an intelligence service building where he and his family were imprisoned that was so crowded there wasn’t enough room for everyone to lie down to sleep. He calmly described seeing bits of hair and blood under something he described as a human meat grinder.

  1. Jim Dermitt says:

The really strange thing is that he may have better security than the average American citizen. Don’t let anything happen to Saddam. His lawyers want even better security for the lawyers. I want a Rolls Royce! The whole thing is amazing. Rep. Murtha speaks freely and he is attacked and these nuts say he is putting our troops at risk. Who really believes Saddam is innocent? Let him go and let the Marines meet up with him in Baghdad. Saddam says he is planning a great revolution. Hey Saddam, it’s a little late for a revolution. Maybe the CIA is forcing him to listen to old Beatles tunes backwards around the clock.

You say you’ll change the constitution
    Well, Saddam knows
We all want to change your head
You tell me it’s the institution
    Well, you know
You better free you mind instead
But if you go carrying pictures of Saddam
You ain’t going to make it with anyone anyhow

Maybe in the spirit of his revolution he’ll be beheaded.
The terrorists in Iraq seem to like this kind of thing.
They might chop off his head and he still won’t shut up.
It might shut up Ramsey Clark, which would be a blessing.

  2. Jim Dermitt says:

    HELP WANTED-MAN WITHOUT A COUNTRY
South Australian Premier Mike Rann is also demanding the Commonwealth explain why Mr Tikriti is allowed to live in Adelaide.

“This is the same Federal Government that has been hard-line about deporting children, yet somehow one of Saddam’s alleged bodyguards is deemed suitable for release into our community,” he said.

  3. max says:

Isn’t this like putting Nixon on trial for what happened in Vietnam?

  4. Jim Dermitt says:

    Drop It Like It’s Hot
I just got a report that Saddam has told the judge to go to hell and he isn’t showing up for court tomorrow. You would think that the trial was voluntary according to Saddam. Maybe he’s pissed at Ramsey Clark and taking it out on the judge. If I was on the CIA detail, I’d start playing Snoop Dogg raps full blast. Get ya’ll a subwoofer! Dance Saddam, it might be your last. There Saddam, take that!

  5. Ima Fish says:

    “Will Someone Shoot this A-hole?”

John, isn’t making death threats Robertson’s job?!

  6. Jim Dermitt says:

John was asking a question Fish, not making a death threat.
That’s what the(?) is for. For death threats you use these(!).

  7. Jim Dermitt says:

You have your unknowns with this sort of thing. You also have unknown unknowns and your known unknowns. I don’t know! They could of went to the Hague, but I don’t know if Saddam wanted to leave Iraq. He seems to want to stay in Iraq. Maybe Saddam could be tried in the United States, which I’m sure he wouldn’t want.

There’s no pleasing a guy like Saddam. With people like him you are damned if you do or if you don’t. He’s a big government fascist. He should of went into the oil business. He’d be sitting on top of the world now with all that oil over in Iraq. That wasn’t good enough for Saddam. He had to have the Bentlys and home girls, big cribs all over the place, gold toilets and all the bling bling. Now his family is wiped out, his hood is trashed and of course he isn’t happy about it. Our gang is bigger than yours!

  8. Jim Dermitt says:

Watch for the Save Saddam (SS) groups to pop up in the United States. Maybe they’ll march on Washington and demand a retrial for Saddam.
You would think Ramsey Clark would advise Saddam to quit screaming at the judge for most of the trial. That usually doesn’t play real well in a court of law. This is a free country, but screaming at the judge isn’t protected speech. Saddam is the kind of guy who would scream fire in a crowded theater over a PA system and then lock everybody inside and burn the place to the ground and then boast about it to his cronies.

  9. Jim Dermitt says:

It’s the fault of the US that this trial is turning into a joke.
No it’s not Saddam being Saddam! I blame Ramsey Clark. It’s his fault.

  10. Jim Dermitt says:

Saddam is bitching about laundry services now. A real riches to rags sob story is unfolding over in Iraq.

  11. Jim W. says:

This is just one example of our successes in Iraq. (he said to tweak the liberals who call it a failure):). They are just mirroring our judicial system, including lawyers who throw out baseless challenges and appeals to try and get their client off even thought he is clearly guilty.

  12. If he is found guilty, sorry I mean, when he is found guilty, please please please do not execute him otherwise the whole country is in for a lot of hurt. Capital punishment does not work with high profile criminals, especially if they still have large numbers of supporters. Life in prison, its the only real solution.

  13. gquaglia says:

‘Isn’t this like putting Nixon on trial for what happened in Vietnam?’

What the hell are you smoking? Or maybe your just an unamerican a hole who thinks we are the evil empire of the world. There is no comparison. Vietnam was a proxy war against communism, Sadam is just a power hungry wacko.

  14. site admin says:

Hey Dermitt..exactly WHERE is the death threat? I was asking a rhetorical question..there is a difference. A threat would be “I’m going to kill you!” not “Will somebody kill this a-hole?” Maybe it’s a wimpy request, but not a threat. Get a clue.

Also shooting is not necessarily killing.

More importantly why are you posting over and over and over in a row. Stop it!

  15. Jim Dermitt says:

Honestly John, I don’t know. This is one of those known unknowns. If I find out I’ll let you know. Thanks!

  16. Jim Dermitt says:

    site admin
I’ll quit posting. I wasn’t aware that there was a rule against posting too much. Sorry about that.

In post 7 I wrote “John was asking a question Fish, not making a death threat.” in response to post 5.

  17. Saddam says:

All I did was torment and torture those villagers. I didn’t like them, so I killed them. Why? Because they couldn’t run very fast! The truth is we live in a world with countries. Those countries have to be rules by men with guns. Who’s gonna to do it? You? You Lt. Dvorak? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for the village, and you curse the Baathists. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That their destruction, while tragic, probably saved lives, my own. And that my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives, my own. You don’t want the truth because deep down in places you don’t talk about at parties, you want me in Baghdad, you need me in Baghdad. We use phrases like 100% of the vote in elections, blackmail into serving in the military, punishing the village, idolizing the ruler, choosing the women you want next, killing and torturing those who stand in our way, personal luxury. We use these phrases as the backbone of a life spent defending ourselves. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I do not provide, then questions the manner in which I do not provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, I don’t give a damn what you think you are entitled to.

  18. T.C. Moore says:

Most Iraqis know nothing of Judge Ito.

This is their OK Corral. Let them have their showdown.
