Ah, the good, old days when silicone ran like water…

Fewer Botox treatments, facelifts and all other artificial beautifying procedures, too. What’s next? Actresses actually looking their age? Women walking around with flat chests? Wrinkles?!? Plastic surgeons not buying newer, bigger boats and exotic vacations with the mistress, opting instead for a weekend in Cleveland in a Motel 6 with the missus? The horror…

Indeed, a few indicators suggest that financial constraints are beginning to interrupt the narrative of better living through surgery — at least temporarily. Sixty-two percent of plastic surgeons who responded to a recent questionnaire from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons said they had performed fewer procedures in the first half of this year compared with the same period last year, according to the latest anecdotal information from the group.

At the society’s annual meeting last month in Chicago, some prominent surgeons said they had openings and for the first time agreed to negotiate fees with patients.

More recently, a quarterly earnings statement from Mentor Corporation, a breast implant manufacturer, reported that the number of breast implants sold in the United States decreased 5 percent during the three months ending Sept. 26 over the same period last year. In the last month, two manufacturers of cosmetic medical devices have closed.

“In Orange County, where plastic surgery is a part of their culture, doctors told me business is down 30 to 40 percent,” said Thomas Seery, the president of realself.com, a site devoted to reviewing vanity-medicine procedures. “That tells me something is fundamentally changing there.”

What part of “Its going to get ugly out there” did you not understand??

  4. BigBoyBC says:

That headline is good. Do women with breasts a large as the chick in the picture drinking from a water bottle actually think they look hot? Don’t get me wrong, I like a woman with a nice rack, but those are just gross…

  5. Widgethead says:

I think the gal in the photo should stop drinking the water, it appears her humps are full.

    Bobbo: To funny 😉

Breast Implant Surgeries Sagging With The Economy

Good. There are way to many BAD boob jobs running around.

  7. Benjamin says:

In other news, self esteem among women has gone up. It is an inverse to cosmetic surgery.

Really, when are people going to learn to like their own bodies? I think people need to go through a mandatory counseling session before having cosmetic surgery that extreme.

  8. bobbo says:

Well – – – I’m only guessing that no normal woman puts in equipment like that unless it is job related. After that, there could be other related issues but relating this picture to anything normal shows a lack of experience.

  9. Glenn E. says:

Time to bail out these boob surgeons. Can’t allow their skills to be lost, right?

Next thing you know the strip clubs will be threatening to close for lack of customers. And they’ll need a bailout too. Just kidding. I’m sure they’ll get plenty of business from members, staff, and lobbyists of the US Congress and Senate.

  10. Uncle Dave says:

Have to say I’m surprised that no one has mentioned the photo of the guy with the boob job.

  11. named says:

No matter how “shocking” the boob dude is, I can’t seem to stop thinking about the larger boobs above… And when I say thinking I mean, how many things can I do with them. By the time I remember there is boob dude below, I’m awfully tired…

  12. Glenn E. says:

Sourcing Hurricane Mikey’s photobucket for this one, eh? So this is probably one of his Vegas exotic dancer chums. Yeah, they can afford mountains of silicon in Vegas. It about the only attraction that place will still have in tight times.

At least have a fashion consultant or a designer, maybe an cosmetician giving counseling. I’ve seed boob jobs (lip jobs, lipo, tush jobs…you name it) that really do wonders for a woman’s figure. But those (in the picture) are Ludicrous!
Basically anything that looks that someone has put play-doh on a barbie doll are just nutz…

  14. hhopper says:

Geez, I thought the ‘boob dude’ was just an ugly woman who got a boob job to make herself look pretty. Har!

  15. Lou says:

    WTF ?

  16. RTaylor says:

You can have a lot of fun with a small breasted woman. But I’m a leg man myself. Give me tall woman with long legs any day. Alas those days are in the past for an old fart like me.

    Thats a great job!
