Before I arrived in Lisbon a couple of weeks ago, Uncle Dave — who was supposed to be taking pictures — told me that they should rename the Lisbon airport “The George Clooney Airport.” He told me I’ll understand when I get there. So as you leave customs and go down the ramp, this is what you see!

Good impersonation of Steven Colbert’s Latin Lover.

    So suave, its a joke.

  2. tyates says:

“For relaxing times, make it Martini time.”

  3. Mister Mustard says:

Those Portuguese have always been a little “iffy”. What other country besides Portugal would have “wine corks” as one of the staples of their economy?

  4. Mister Mustard says:

    #2 – tyates

    >>“For relaxing times, make it Martini time.”

Haw! The only decent movie Scarlett was ever in!

  5. jg says:

Mister Mustard do you have some kind of wine cork envy?

  6. Mister Mustard says:

    >>Mister Mustard do you have some kind of wine
    >>cork envy?

Doesn’t everyone? Except the Portuguese, of course – they are the wine cork MASTERS!!

  7. QB says:

Strange. I suddenly want to drink vermouth, and I have no idea why.

  8. agile says:

If you order “a martini” in Europe, you will usually get a vermouth (white or red) on the rocks.

  9. JoaoPT says:

I guess it doesn’t show there on US Tv, but Clooney is the the face of both the Martini and Nespresso campaigns.

This is one of the best ones:

I guess the fact that he lives in Italy (lake Cuomo) makes him popular here.

  10. JoaoPT says:

    #9 Ah… it’s the other way around:

    Order a Vermouth and get a Martini…
