I saw this and thought you might appreciate it. Hansa in Germany, make a designer bathroom faucet which changes the water colour depending on the water’s temperature. The water changes colour by using colour LEDs and the flowing water as a light-pipe. Great idea, could stop certain individuals from severely burning themselves. People with certain kinds of neurological damage or who are partially sedated, have an impaired sense of skin temperature and can be badly burned by hot tap water.

One thing nobody’s noticing is that these faucets may increase water consumption, if only to show off!!! They’re soooo decorative….

  5. You clean the same as you would any faucet. The led’s should last a long time.

  6. twdldee says:

what temperature does it have to be to come out yellow?

  7. John says:

Expensive decorative faucets are fine. I’d rather see some kind of sensor in the restroom that flashes a strobe over the door and sounds a big “woop” anytime someone leaves without washing their hands. Now that would be worth the money…..
