now that’s a scary jack o lantern!!!
Only democrats would carve pumpkins out of their candidate, a candidate that bases his campaign on hope. I really want the future of the country I live in depending on hope.
Obama’s first press conference: “I really hope that Iran will give up it’s nuclear weapons…”
[ – ed.]
What are all these people going to do when McCain wins?
Depressing it’s as if they have melted flesh to keep druid Gods away.
McCain? Win? Huh?
Shouldn’t they use a white pumpkin to carve Obama? 😉
#3 If he wins?
I suppose we hunker down and wait for a reinstatement of the draft (which he’s on record saying he’s not opposed to if it’s done ‘more fairly’) as he tries to ramp up the number of troops in Afghanistan *without* planning a corresponding withdrawal from Iraq and escalating tensions with other nations including Iran.
Since that involves just waiting I figure that gives me time to ponder how we can owe 10 Trillion dollars and talk about ‘cutting taxes’. That’s roughly $480,000 per US household. But to ‘stimulate the economy’ he’s going to lower taxes on the highest paid. So… they’ll be paying back less and the money has to come from somewhere.
Guess we have to hope that upper 5% of the economy he gives those breaks to
a) over consume goods produced in this country so that it ‘trickles’ down. (hardly helps if they buy Chinese goods).
-or-
b) in addition to whatever crazy high paying gig they already have fire up a startup so that they create jobs.
Wow, these Obama supporters are really setting themselves up for a huge letdown.
I don’t mean if Obama loses. I think he’ll win.
The letdown will be during his first term when his supporters come to realize that he is not the 2nd coming, the chosen one, who will save their souls.
By setting him up as the Messiah, I don’t see how he could possibly meet everyone’s expectations.
#8: Something tells me the McCainiacs would feel the same way if their guy wins.
#8 I’ll just be happy if he doesn’t pre-emptively invade another country that was no threat to us at a cost of somewhere from 1-3 trillion depending on whether you count indirect costs (future benefits to veterns, cost of oil increase)or only direct budgetary outlays.
Bonus points if when another country (Russia) does the same thing (to Georgia) he doesn’t stand up claiming “this doesn’t happen in the 21st century”.
Short version is the bar is pretty low for him to be better than McCain.
Cool. I’m doing it.
I went looking for stencils and found this kindof cool one of Palin:
[Looks more like Roseanne. – ed.]
That’s right redistribute the wealth! I want your money!
Peter, Peter pumpkin eater, where did your conscious go?
If you gotta vote Lib make it Libertarian!
Obama will win. Apparently some of you out there feel that just because one might support Obama that they see him as a “messiah”. What makes you think that any politician out there doesn’t see their own self as the next thing to save the human race? Now more than ever, it is evident that humans need to save their own asses from #1- other crazy humans, #2- the destruction of earth and #3- Sarah Palin.
This is just as much MY America and MY country as any crazy ass hat conservative god fearing republican. And if there was any middle ground candidate that actually had a chance of winning, I would vote for them. Until then, Obama it is and he looks mighty good as a pumpkin too.
Yes carve pumpkins of the candidates as they will certainly carve you up for their corporate masters who put them where they are.
It is no coincidence that AIG sponsored parties at both conventions and then was bailed out.
Think people! They BOTH signed an agreement to bail out a company that screwed americans and protected the wealthy from paying their fair share of taxes like you and I MUST.
Wake up, stop dreaming!

#15–Cursor==just in case you have an answer—ok, I’m awake and I agree with your Nader position.
So what should I/you/we do?
