Betcha didn’t know the TSA has put up a bunch of videos on YouTube about what it’s doing at airports.

Oh, and by the way, did you know that if you’re on the no-fly list you can now sue to get off?

  1. it's just an expression says:

Let me know when they can sue and win.

  2. B. Dog says:

I’ll put it in layman’s terms: These guys are Gitmo Nation shitheads.

  3. richardbt71 says:

What is so scary about a laptop? A bomb? If I really wanted to blowup a plane, I can do it without even going through the tsa screenings.

  4. mrhappy says:

Say what you will, but you don’t find many federal government agencies that are reaching out and communicating (ie. blogs, Youtube videos) to the public like the TSA. My hats off to them. They’ve got a tough, somewhat thankless job and they’re trying to make it as easy as possible for John Q. public

How can x-rays penetrate an aluminum laptop?

  6. lordlundar says:

#5, Pretty easily actually. Aluminum isn’t a metal that can block X-rays.

  7. GregAllen says:

I hate government under the conservatives… it is SO absurdly secretive.

He can’t show us an xray of an Apple lap top because it is “sensitive security information”?

That’s just stupid. No doubt you can Google it.

Instead, I found the Xray of this guy’s head and it was more revealing:

  8. The Monster's Lawyer says:

I’m tired of the homeland insecurity crap imposed on the general public. Everyone is treated with suspicion and contempt by all TSA as policy. All of us are assumed guilty of some complicity. I would rather take my chances with a random act of terrorism than the the incessant heavy boot of oppression wielded by the few over the many. Some would argue that little inconveniences are a small price to pay for security. I would argue that little inconveniences add up over time and in the end are a terrorist attack in themselves.

  9. TomB says:

I wonder if the new president will kill this list.

  10. leftbankhook says:

“TSA Approved Laptop bags?” About 6 years ago, they started making “Flight approved shoes” so you wouldn’t need to take them off.

If you bought them, you probably don’t believe that a TSA Laptop bag is going to let you do anything…other than take your laptop out of a TSA approved bag when you go through screening.

  11. Yeah that x-ray image of a macbook air is really sensitive, so sensitive that it broke down and cried when I found it on google image search: http://img360.imageshack.us/img360/5517/98980318tz6.jpg

    Poor thing.
