MARION COUNTY, Fla.(WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) — A bank robber was captured pretty quickly Monday after police noticed that the note he handed a teller demanding cash was written on the back of his own personal check. The incident began at a Bank Of America on SW 34th Street in Ocala just before 10 am.
Police said a man walked in and handed the teller a note that said he had a .45 caliber pistol and demanding money. After the teller complied and gave the man cash, he fled. Witnesses saw the man jump into a gold compact car driven by another man. Not content with the first robbery the suspect pulled the same crime at another Bank Of America not far away several hours later. In that robbery the man also gave the teller a note, was given cash and fled. This time witnesses saw the man jump into a taxi and flee.
Police located the taxi soon after along with the suspect was in the back. They arrested 33 year old Patrick Johnson. Investigators were then able to link Johnson to the crimes when they observed that the notes he had written his demands on were both checks from his personal checking account. Johnson was transported to the hospital and checked out fine before being transported to jail.
Quality of our schools? Just remember that the federal education standards have been controlled by the GOP for 20 out of the last 28 years. And quite frankly, I’m not too sure the other 8 years, with the pantload in the WH, were much better.
So just remember, that 33 year old guy was just entering school when Raygun took over.
It is possible that he was one of the many who has recently lost his home in the mortgage crisis and was looking for a nice place to stay in order to get out of the Florida heat.

This is HILARIOUS. I live in a small community in Western North Carolina and crime in general (thankfully) isn’t that prominent. But this happened a week or so ago and I find it HILARIOUS. Welcome To Spruce Pine, North Carolina.

Wrong number leads to arrest
Mitchell County Chief Deputy has woman call and offer to sell him Hydrocodone.
The call came Thursday night. The lady said she knew he had bought some pills recently. Did he want to buy some more?
Mitchell County Chief Deputy Donald Street knew the lady had called his personal cell phone by mistake, but he was very interested in meeting her.
She identified herself as Betty Geouge and said she wanted to sell him 20 pills of Hydrocodone at $5 per pill. She asked Street to meet her at the bottom of the mountain, down Coxes Creek on Hwy. 226, in McDowell County.
Street told Geouge he would meet her on Grassy Creek. She said she could not make it.
Street set up a meeting for Friday morning at the Mineral Museum off of Hwy. 226. If she would come up the mountain he would sweeten the deal with $10 bucks for gas, for a total of $110.
Friday morning Street called Geouge to make sure she could make the meeting. She said she was worried about the Mineral Museum and wanted to go to the Blue Ridge Parkway, federal jurisdiction.
They finally agreed on the Wal-Mart parking lot.
Geouge placed one final call to her potential customer. She told him she was in the parking lot and wanted to know what he would be driving.
Street said he would be in a maroon Chevy Impala. He failed to mention it would be a law enforcement vehicle.
Street said Geouge was a little surprised when he pulled up with Sheriff Ken Fox and Detective Josh Sparks.
Betty Barrier Geouge, 35, of 237 Walker Road, Marion, was arrested on July 11, and charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell, deliver a controlled substance and maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances.
She was given a $4,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court on July 18
