Odd.. I didn’t notice Vonage having issues at my house. Maybe I was just lucky.
You don’t need Vonage.
Pioneer Telephone, the telco part of Adelphia (the cable giant) was split off and became it’s own company as a result of Adelphia’s bankruptcy proceedings.
Pioneer Telephone offers 2.3 cents per minute long distance with no monthly fee.
So unless you plan to use in excess of 1200 minutes per month with Vonage, there is no point using their “less than landline” quality service to try to save money.

Long distance doesn’t have to be a scam, like in the 1990s.
Google is NOT working on a Second Life clone. “Google Lively” is a 3D Chat program similar to IMVU, it has no user created content.
It is however a cool novelty program that you can run in your browser.
This whole thing about Comcast helping Vonage sounds odd. Why would Comcast need to help them? Are we talking about Comcast supporting QoS (CoS with DSCP)? Otherwise, shouldn’t Vonage work just fine over Comcast as long as the Comcast customer is not using all their physical bandwidth?
Or are we back again to the bandwidth sharing on local “loops” squeezing customer traffic. This simply highlights Comcast oversubscription. Are they just now deciding to support prioritization? I am surprised it took this long.
How can we figure out your mood if you don’t talk about the weather?
The line-up on the new iPhone makes no sense: You have to ‘attempt’ to activate the phone at the store… which can take up to 15 minutes.
The catch is that the attempts, for the most part, are failing because so many are trying today. You then get sent home and have to wait (again) to activate. Just doesn’t add up.
The XBox 36o Elite has been out for awhile. It is the black one that comes with the 120GB Hard Drive. There are rumors of a new 60 GB model however.
