This is a sad day for Garden Gnome revolutionaries worldwide.

170 Figures Stolen: French Police Arrest Serial Garden Gnome Thief – SPIEGEL ONLINE: Police in Bretagne have arrested a 53-year-old man suspected of the thefts of 170 garden gnomes. However, it is proving difficult to return the gnomes to their real owners — the thief painted them different colors, making identification tricky.

Oh, the drama. Have the garden gnomes been asked if they want to be sent back to a life of oppression in gardens around the world?
Bono should do a concert in favour of liberating this brave soul.

When garden gnomes go missing in France, most are tempted to blame the shadowy Garden Gnome Liberation Front. The group has been linked to the disappearance of dozens of miniature garden residents over the years.

Disappearance? People around the world should be aware of the plight of the garden gnome and the oppression their are being subjected to. Where are the pretentious ‘Che Guevara’ t-shirt wearing ‘revolutionaries’ to rally against this grave injustice?
