About 40 years ago, back when reclining seats in a car were extremely rare, I was riding in the shotgun seat and had my buddy, the driver, drop his seat back and let me handle the wheel.
He did the brakes and gas.
On the Ohio Turnpike….
Got some really interesting looks – I was big enough to keep my hand out of sight while controlling the car, and he was small enough to more or less vanish.
Don’t try that at home….
WTH, we were both under 21….
